Yeah other people have said Jim Dark too lol Perfect Dark Zero was a much better look,
Looks more like Jim Dark than Joanna Dark
I suspect Game Pass has something to do with this also. Being less financially invested in a product is a sure route to not caring enough to complete it. Also indicative of the audience that occupies Xbox, they bought the wrong studio for their platform. Which again will hurt Xbox.
The issues Meta have is they are Meta. I'll never buy a Meta product, Every Quest headset they release is always a case of it's not quite there from a hardware perspective and the game content is mostly from indie devs. Selling what should be a AAA experience with C tier games is a non starter.
Tell me a franchise Sony has brought back that did better than previous iterations? and no God of War wasn't gone for a significant amount of time before it was rebooted. The fact is both those franchises didn't have the IT factor and they tried everything. Another Killzone or Resistance isn't what Sony needs right now unless your goal is to try and get Sony to make more mistakes. Which knowing IGN is probably their angle. Sony need brand new fresh IP's
Just expect Microsoft to have a spin news story to try and shine a positive light on it. Despite the fact COD is on a big downtrend for players. That is a fact they can't deny. It is a tired franchise and I suspect Activision knew that and that is why they wanted to be bought out. Microsoft have a wonderful track record of buying things 10 years too late and 10 times too much.
They have squandered everything that made PlayStation a platform by giving their games away for free on torrent sites for PC. How can you expect customers to pay $70 for your games and $50 a month for PS+ if they can't protect their paying customers investments. Sorry Sony I won't be going for PS6 I'll be going for the free option like other PC users.
To be fair the reason the PS5 feels like a damp squid for me and others who bought it is their PC strategy. They have made their console players who actually pay money to feel like second class customers. If you are on PC you get a better version of the game a year later and you can get it for free on various sites and you don't have to pay for PS+. On top of that Sony lose 30% on all sales they put through Steam and much more on piracy. Also Sony seem big on remasters, well guess what yo...
They threw away all the good will and fan base who were promoting them with streaming by giving everything away to PC users.
Requires internet connection at all times.
Yeah, this game isn't Mudrunner if it looks like a budget PS2 game.
Yeah, I guess some Japanese developers forget their stuff don't sell on Xbox. or Phil has been doing stuff in the background. Reminds me of when Microsoft paid SEGA to put Yakuza and Phantasy Star Online 2 on Xbox and it was like a puff of smoke, no impact and hardly anyone played it.
Only a competitor if your game works fully offline and isn't some service.
@carrotcakeag That seems about as meaningless and low effort as the Xbox branded Meta headset to be honest.
Helldivers 2 back to being amazing again after the press told me it was dead last week.
@NotoriousWhiz I just don't seem them doing another SKU that is going to be weaker than the Series S, Given how damaging that has been to development.
Microsoft will only continue to lose customers. The irony of game pass is it teaches your user base they don't own their games so when you stop subscribing they are gone. That makes it easy for people to drop Microsoft and go elsewhere. Massive fundamental mistake by Microsoft.
People want Microsoft out of the console business as their moves have largely been negative, Sony has only copied negative things from Microsoft and nothing positive. So I would be happy to see Microsoft leave. The brand is caustic people are not coming back.
There is nothing about Microsoft that is keeping anyone honest, Microsoft is making moves that make it worse for everyone not better.
Yeah, You can tell when looking at it the game isn't AAA it is very much a game from 2 generations ago made by a smaller indie studio. Most of it looks like imitation rather than originality. Probably another 6.5/10 Xbox game. Although given IGN has bought most of the gaming press it will have to be overinflated for an Xbox game review.
