Yeah, if you are a platform holder publishing your content on another platform means you lose money as the other platform holder takes a cut of your profits. Also putting your content on a platform that has no safe guard or protection against piracy also means a lot of lost revenue. So I'm not seeing the benefits to Nintendo or Sony or even Microsoft for that matter. Microsoft can clearly afford to lose money and just flood the field which is their new strategy. But other companies can...
Exactly what I've been saying in the comments, IGN bought and paid for by Microsoft and now IGN bought out a large chunk of the gaming press in preparation to try and turn around Xbox's misfortunes whether you like it or not. IGN and its outlets are going to spam you with positive reviews and articles covering Xbox over the next decade. This is Rupert Murdoch levels of trying to control the messaging.
Release it again properly on disc or a two disc set with the second volume which you should do correctly this time. That also doesn't mean bundling the old disc release with volume 2 either. Proper release with all the patched data on disc and no region locked versions of MGS1 only available via download.
Sony definitely need to fill a gap with the younger audience when it comes to games but they should do it in a way that makes these games appeal to adults too.
"missing the forest through the trees" seems to be the applied mentality for a lot of people defending Xbox sadly.
Microsoft single handedly killing Xbox gamers passion for gaming.
Disney kind of sunk Indiana Jones with those new movies so I'm not sure the IP is that valuable anymore.
Yeah and now they want everyone else to fund their end game.
Microsofts overall mission taints any excitement for their games. Phil Spencer will of course continue lie to try and convince.
Enough already. (Gaming press)
Not really, Konami is basically in name only and like so many other Japanese studios that have come and gone they are just going to be an IP troll and milk that cow until it is dry. Also one of the advertised features is playing the game from a different camera view while everything else remains the same will just result in making the game easier like what happened with Twin Snakes.
Looked dated to be honest, simple cpu character pathing mixed with gameplay and graphics resembling a 360 game. It is clearly an indie effort. Perfect Dark Zero was a better attempt despite not having the best controls.
Perfect Woke Starring John Dark for Xbox 360
It brought Perfect Woke starring John Dark on Xbox 360.
You have to love how the gaming press never fails to amaze, As always they have been waiting with baited breath just to give Xbox some kind of credit to bash Nintendo and Sony down. Their unflinching bias towards that terrible company Microsoft has no limit.
Message to the gaming press, enough! You tried this for the best part of a decade to sell us on Game Pass and it didn't work then and it isn't working now. I guess now that IGN has bought almost everyone and they are a Microsoft partner we will have to put up with more of this corrupted advertising. Another decade of flooding the field of play by Microsoft.
As I said earlier, I'm not going to buy Xbox games on PlayStation to subsidize Game Pass I don't care how good they might be. Not supporting a company with devious designs. I know I'm not the only one. If they are going all in on Game Pass well you can make that money from Xbox customers only and not me.
The old IGN Microsoft partnership. ( -_-) Bastion of unbiased journalism
I won't be buying any Xbox games anyway, Not going to subsidize their vision of changing gaming industry into streaming everything via a netflix subscription and they are the only choice. Remember when it comes to Microsoft "It's us or no one" You can't complain after they have taken over either.
There are also US based Youtubers who do the same thing, Spawn Wave, YongYea, ReviewTechUSA to name a few. Sony makes a minor mistake they are all on it trying to kill Sony or Nintendo but when Microsoft continually makes nuclear bomb sized mistakes they are all silent. Unfortunately there are people who just support Xbox because it is the American Patriot Box and they invested too much in their digital eco system to quit, not because it is a better product.
