Add to the fact that video game rental was never a long term successful prospect. It failed with Blockbuster then they tried again with Redbox and it failed and now they are selling game rental again and it is still failing. Retail purchasing is and always will be the method people prefer.
There was never a Destiny 3 in the first place.
I stopped buying their games when they started porting them to Xbox.
You mean cash in on their legacy but at the same time they are also destroying it with their multiplatform strategy. No one is going to have much nostalgia for PS5 because of their constant brand dilution.
The actors who starred in this will probably never see their own work. Something to think about.
People need to get over Halo, It was a fun Xbox launch game but it was never a serious SciFi epic. The game is a bit of mess from an art direction when you look back on it. You have the super serious human colonial marines like the movie Aliens but you don't have the super serious deadly aliens to go with it. Instead you have a clumsy alien race that is more comical than anything George Lucas could have come up with. It made the whole thing tonally unbalanced. In short you had aliens that...
Microsoft has been operating as a branch of the US Government for quite some time. This is why they have been able to get away with so much anti consumer stuff on Windows 11. Yet Google, Amazon etc have all been getting scalded by the Government.
Apparently it is this game. I guess they want next to 0 people buying COD these days.
is this the game that requires an online connection to stream textures to your console?

The digital crowd will be the first to complain when their digital libraries get turned into cloud streaming. Yes they can do that and there is nothing they can say about it. Physical is the only thing stopping cloud gaming.
If Microsoft keep pushing Apple and Sony together. That's a fight they won't win, so they better back off.
Part of the reason for the lack of PlayStation enthusiasm is down to Sony doing a u-turn on exclusives and diluting their brand in their process. There is a stink in the air that they seem to be trying to get out of consoles but they are doing it in slow motion compared to Microsoft and it's not cool. Currently the sentiment it isn't reflected in sales but it will be next generation as people slowly wake up and find out Sony are communicating you don't need their console. Sony are...
Phil Spencer is Xbox CEO for life apparently. Literally every company in this business has changed out and swapped leadership. His ego won't let him walk away without something to hang his hat on. Guess what Phil, as long as you are there we won't let you have that victory for you to walk out on. So park your ego and leave. Situation won't change until a new person is in place with a better vision.
Pay for premium headset and 90% of what you get is lower than Wii quality motion games. Even Wii motion games had some effort. It was the lack of support from AAA studios that killed VR. Plain and simple.
What people don't understand is physical media is the last stand for game ownership and preservation not digital. There is nothing legally stopping any digital distribution company to start offering you cloud only streaming versions of your purchases.
More likely to try and combat piracy.
Then they've laid me off a customer along with the 150+ $70 games I usually buy in a generation. I'll move to pirating their games on PC instead.
End of paywalled multiplayer, replaced by all your games being paywalled instead. So same thing but even worse.
