TBH It does look like Jason. Copyright doesn't protect ideas, but when you use concepts from a popular movie some will raise an eyebrow and say you got it from a famous and well known movie like Friday the 13th.
@rdgneoz3
From the looks of things, I'd say this game is running on DX9,(or an older api) but not on Dx12.
If so, than you already should know CPU core(zero) is doing the most heavy lifting while the other CPU cores aren't working as hard as core zero.
With that in mind, The draw calls will be limited, so therefore the graphic itself will be limited as well because again CPU core(zero) is too busy doing other compute processes(physics...
This game is very taxing on the x1 CPU, which handles the geometry, physics, and collision engine.
Though, the graphics isn't all that which isn't an issue if the game run on an older DX api.
Dx12 can change that of course.
Is Pre-Ordering Games an Archaic Tradition?
Yes, it a money making Tradition like every other adoptive marketing strategy before it.
Pre- orders do work. It plays with our mind, if you let it.
I think a lot of gamers like the feeling of getting a game first before anyone else does. Personally speaking, I don't like the feeling of not getting a game on time/launch day. When I go to a game store to buy a game they normally make me feel like I'm not going to get a game on time.
It looks like starship troopers and Destiny had a baby.
Man, there's so many good 3D shooter to choose from. Can't wait to see more.
fable legends isn't utilizing the full capability of dx12. It was ported over from an older DX api to dx12.
Gears 4 probably will be a full featured DX12 game.
*Mind exploding*
@timotim
I agree with you.
But I'm also looking at this for a business perspective as well.
The partnership between MS and AMD has me thinking that what ever moves either of them make will be in the best interest of both company, AMD/MS.
Showing a demo with two card runing together could send shock waves to the PC market. After all, a lot of PC owners are obsessed with power.
I could be wrong. time will t...
@AudioEppa
Not really. Because I brought my system mainly to play games, not to watch a movie interactive.
True indeed, But 4k has already been done before. Why would they be in so much disbelief on what they saw in the demo.
You're looking at it from one perspective. This affects everyone in the long run. Broken games, short games, etc.
This situation right here is the same as any other situation. One devs mess up will bring other devs to follow in the same footsteps.
Heck, how do you think DLC got started. DLC started out with the use of good business practice until someone decided and said to themselves, Hey I could make a lot of money with DLC" figure out the rest ca...
According to Bard tweet is seems as though the new game project is running on TWO video cards, with DX12 of course. That could be the reason for the disbelieving of those who have seen the Demo.
I guess that why this game isn't on the x1, it only has one GPU.
1886 is a decent game to watch. But if any of you think 1886 is the most spectacular game you ever played before than I feel sorry for the gaming industry b/c it means publishers can throw any game at us, and we'll accept it with open arms.
Lets face it, the review are pointless. Too many gamers can't tell the difference between an interactive movie(press one button) vs actual game play.
Final Fantasy XV bringing something new
Indeed it is...
Finally, a game that isn't in a sandbox environment. I like the idea of traveling from city to city.
I totally agree with this article b/c there is such a thing called Consumer Psychology or Consumer behaviour.
The way Sony have placed thier lineup of game in a order, from bad to good tells me they might have a Consumer Psychologist onboard their marketing team.

Edit: Games aren't developed(or released) fast enough to meet the demand...
Sounds really good. Boy, do miss listening to yuzo koshiro soundtracks.
Unique Clothing Lines huh
Make a lot of sense. Keyword "Unique" With zillions of characters already out there hiring someone to come to up with new and Unique fashionable clothing designs for characters is going to a huge challenge.
Sounds like What ever SP is working on is more ambitions project than infamous.
Wow, I have never been to paradise before until now. This looks incredible.
This game seem like it might have some similarities in game play to Capcom's 1986 game, The Speed Rumbler.
You get chased by a bunch of rebels in your souped up car, and you get out of your car and do battle with the Baddies.
