hand down 1886 definitely has the draw-dropping graphics, but that's all.

I did more site seeing of the environments in 1886, than playing the game. Its a walk in the museum filled with painting.

Aganos looks cool. He reminds me of blanka in street fighter although I think Aganos doesn't look like blanka.

I respect R@D for trying to give something new and different for a change.

But the problem is, all I've heard them say is how their game should've been perceived by gamers.

My entertainment lawyer once said, " whats is obvious to you, is not going to be obvious to everyone else"

That said, If they weren't sure about what they were pitching to us, they shouldn't asked us.

I don't understand what do you guys see in this game. Lets keep it real. what if you went to the movies and it was 30mins long? 1886 is too short to be priced at $60.

BTW, how long have you been gaming? cause if you just got in to the gaming scene than that would explain why you like 1886 so much.

My hype days are over. I will no longer get hype up like this again only to find out the game is a complete failure. LOL, I told my friend who bought 1886 he should've waited until game stop had a 1886 pre-owned for sale.

Edit: I don't blame devs for taking us as pawn b/c we allow them to take us as fools. The more we accept this crap, the more they're going to take us as Fools.

Its obvious 1886 was a test demo and we brought it.

Agreed, 1886 doesn't deserve a free pass. Today, I finally got the chance to play 1886 for myself and gotta say this game is not worth 60 bucks. I'm sorry to be harsh though, but this game deserves a 2 out of 5 score imo.

RAD game engine just seems to be unfinished. Good attempt though.

WOW looks really good. I love the soundtrack for Tekken 7. It has a very energetic feel to it.

Again, I'm talking about R@D's experience, and not about the hardware power itself.

The back bone is what defines how a game is going to play. That said, R@B could've use unreal engine or any of the fully developed game engines out there.

Its not rocket science. They decided to make their own game engine which I think it a better decision for them b/c they will eventually become a very very strong devs someday. R@D ga...

Man, I say something positive about 1886 and some gamers aren't happy.

I understand.... many of you are very passionate about your system of choice.

coolbeans.

@lemoncake

I'm not big on coding but I do know a bit of C++ programming language and visual basis. NOT to brag I also worked on 3d application before.

I just speak what I know and love tech talk. nothing more.

Thank U. BTW are you getting 1886 tomorrow? If so..Don't mind my commit b/c its still a decent game.

I know that already. Working on psp games/ps3 games is not the same as working on PC based games. The architecture are very difference between both platforms(ps3 vs PC) Get it???

Edit: I'm not a fanboy in any way. Truth is the truth. Disagrees don't make it wrong.

At first, I was extremely disappointed in how 1886 tuned out, and for not having enough of what I want in a game. I really love the visual, but the repetitive game play bring down the ratings.

Anyway, after doing some research on R@D I realized how inexperienced they are working on PC platforms.That said, With in my findings, I've excepted the fact that R@D did the best of what they know as far as working on current Gen hardware. I applaud them for doing so well, as being...

@Death

This has nothing to do with technical problems.

The longer you work on hardware, the more you will know, and therefore you will make better looking & playable games.

If you look real close you will certainly finds lot of weakness in 1886.

Graphic look incredible but its only "see but can't touch object in 1886's world." All you mostly do is walk around with very little interaction to the objects i...

According to this link it seems R@D has very little PC experience. They probably stated on PC 2012. Everything they worked on were mostly PSP/ps3 games which isn't PC architecture.

@The 10th Rider

It has everything to do with the power of the hardware. last gen hardware(ps3/360dev kits) was a bit more of a struggle for some devs simply b/c the hardware architecture weren't similar to PC hardware architecture. Current Gen hardware is a compete different story b/c the devs who already worked on PC dev kits before had a huge advantage over devs who haven't ever worked on PC architecture.

So, some devs caught on quick on current ge...

Agreed, game play first, Visual second.

But actually I think working on new DEv kits is like walking down the street blind-folded.

Most devs have to spend lot of time figuring out the true power of a gaming hardware before they can make a game that offers game play / visual equally.

The first wave of games are normally the hardest to make. After that every get easy and easy as they learn their way around a dev kit.

Personally...

Personally, I think R@D made a bad choice to add cinematic scene to 1886.

However, I believe at the start of 1886 production, I think R@D wanted to add full game play mechanic with out the cinematic scene. But were forced to add cinematic scene in 1886 once they ran in to stumbling block due the high visual fidelity of the game.

I think Crytec fell in to the same situation when they made RYSE. I think both devs just couldn't let go on the dream to push th...

Money talks and everything walks buddy.

Its one things if MS were to make false promises to X1 owners with out putting any of their money on the table. Its another to spout out a bunch of non-sense to their costumers when knowingly know they've already spent well over a billion dollar(not spending a dime of their money).

That being said, MS has spent about 2-3 billion on custom made hardware for the x1. Plus, I'm also pretty sure DX12 cost them millio...
