VR has a much better chance at becoming a success in the entertainment industry than ever before because the optic technology has greatly improved within the last decade.

Also, to make VR a reality it needs the necessary hardware power to render scene that are lifelike to the naked eye. This was something that wasn't available a decade ago, but it is now.

Of course, VR technology has failed number of time time b/c it was lacking on certain technology that...

Never played Mass before. Anyways here's some of my ideas..

Have Full control of your space craft would be a good idea.

Ability to enter a shooting gallery at will, once you enter the shooting gallery it will randomly pick any online player to play against.

Also, Once you enter the gallery shooting room(1 VS 1) A score board will be displayed of the top 12 players who are the best gun fighter in the sector region of space. That way a play...

Here's one game that will be shown at e3 for Morpheus.

http://theassemblygame.com/

I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far. I think Sony's VR is going to be a hit.

I think all VR system are going to be great, but I think early in the VR game design and development phase I think the Morpheus is going to have an advantage over the other VR glasses.

Sure,...

VR will be everywhere in gaming and offer crazy new ways to deliver unique experiences to consumers.

I agree, VR has many use, especially for educational purpose.

Speaking of education, I think the school system could use VR in classrooms b/c our today's kids are getting dumber and dumber each year.
Heck, even the school system haven't produced another great mind like Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, etc in years. ...

Gamer dies after playing World of Warcraft for 19 hours straight

RIP

He probably was under a lot of stress and didn't even know it.

@mikeslemonade

Morpheus games should look better than a PS3 games b/c each individual pixel inside the OLED screen has 3 colors. RED BLUE GREEN. RGBpixel.

A basic OLED screen has one color for each pixel. A world of differences.

The color are going to rich.

I hope MS don't charge a monthly fee to use win 10.
Why else would games be free on win10.

@Eonjay

PS4 hardware will get heavily taxed if runs at native 120fps. At that frame rate speed the image quality goes down, maybe way down.

Personally, I think Sony wouldn't be happy to bring down the image quality because the clarity of those images are very important to making the sense of presence a little more enjoyable.

PS4 can't double all the frames in VR b/c the system itself is already having a hard time doing 60fp, with out ...

@kevnb

I would love to see them pull that off on a game that can even maintain 30fps...

Sony isn't taking any chances like the article states. They're going with 120FPS, however, 90fps is still good.

Beside, that's the beauty of having an OLED screen. The pixel in OLED screen are individually lit which helps reduce latency. LCD screens aren't as good as OLED screen b/c it uses a <back light> that resides inches away from t...

I don't think capcom would turn SF5 in to a game for the casual(button mashing) b/c they would probably lose the hardcore players whom have made SF a popular franchise.

Remember, capcom doesn't do much marketing for their games so they're going to need to keep the same support system(players) to make the next installment of SF a hit.

One things I have noticed... SF feeds off of good players to be successful in the gaming industry. Lose the playe...

Like you said, The 120fps trick happens right after the render process is completed, which I agree.

The software just helps with the organizing of the frames/placement, and the CPU/GPU handles the rest.

4124d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Ok, How does the software know which frames are the middle frame? There has to be some type count system for it to know that.
Caching 4 frames ahead of time? Don't know what you mean by that.

I never said anything about Caching 4 frames ahead of time.

I use a similar idea that often used in Traditional animation to draw my conclusion. Its called "animating on twos"

The fact that they mentioned that the 120FPS trick take...

Sony might reveal GT7 at E3.

Also, I think there might be a reason why Sony hasn't reveal any other racing game as of yet. I think it has something to do with DC b/c
They've been holding Drive Club down for far too long.

That said, Sony/evo might add VR support for DC and would rather wait to show it off at e3. Why I think? DC plus is free so Sony has nothing to loose but to make the same free game for VR. I could be wrong.

My bad, the wither 3 does run on a newer game engine.

Anyways, the game looks really good. it doesn't matter what game engine its ruining on.

The engine was updated from 32bit to 64bit. I was somewhat right. A ground up game engine still would've made a difference.

Wither 3 graphics are breathtaking.

Good read.

Ok, now I understand how they got to 120fps on Morpheus. The software calculate the entire frames sequence on each render load and store them in memory.

During the calculation process, each frame is numbered from the first frame to the last frame.

After that, the software will hold all middle(odd numbered) frames in to memory, and as soon as the render is executed on the screen, the middle frames that were held in to memory are disp...

Dx12 + less development time = better games.

Devs can spend more time making the game instead of fighting with lines of codes/optimizing to rid of the bugs.

True that, we're all just guessing the what the price for Morpheus will be.

The PS4 peripherals should have come down in price by now because the tech is a little over a year old.

As well as some of the parts to build Morpheus should have also come down in manufacturing price. Glad they waited to bring down the cost.

So, I can definitely see a bundle for Morpheus. But I think that it won't happen at launch because sailing it as a sta...
