@corroios
Any computer wizard on N4g that can explain this?????

I have a pretty good understanding why ESRAM was working before.

Its All due to how the textures graphics being rendered. Tiled resource is the key to making the resolution less problematic.

DX12 render textures very different than DX11. Although, a simular render technique has been used on many 360 games. With that being said, The devs has the option to render the entire...

Nintendo is the only company that think outside the box.

What ever Nintendo design it will be something new.

Who knows they might bring back the power glove concept for VR that is.

All I have to say I'm very proud of Nintendo for taking chances while other companies use the same old concept over and over again.

I agree with this article. The NX is not going to be a full system.

Well, I've been thinking Nintendo might make a tablet and wii U hybrid add on for the NX designs.

Its possible NX will have a port on the back of the tablet that can be connected to the Wii U mystery port which is located somewhere underneath.

A tablet(with a protective hard cover) which lays on its face(with the hard cover on to protect the lcd screen)while its laying fa...

That might true because I can clearly see why AMD would be interested in DX12.

One thing that is for sure, You got to take an account that windows and the API itself(ruining on windows) needs resources from the CPU to run.

MS developed windows and DX12 so its very likely that both software works well together. I'm not so sure Mantle could work as efficient(on windows) as DX12/win10 combined.

Agreed,

They're taking the cheap/less expensive approach to use every bit of PS4's hardware power in a more efficient way. However, They do have the option of letting the ps4 do all of the work for them, but doing it that way is extremely taxing on the hardware.

As a result, the graphics would have to be heavily downgraded. I have no doubt that ND will make UC4 look like a live action film. can't wait.

Good read. I think VR is going to be a hit.

I wonder will Morpheus have Rise. The Rise Demo made the hairs on my arms RISE. Please Sony bring Rise to the Morpheus.

I already know devs that has done outsources work for AAA ttiles. of course, I can't say which company because it wouldn't be with in my right to mention who they are, and what they do.

A Company has to build trust first before they hand you over the key. They start off small until they get a good feel of your work.

A franchise is a companies "BABY" and they will do what ever it takes to protect it.

Remasters are usually outsources to smaller or unknown studios so it doesn't slow anything down.

In most cases they don't let them work on the entire game project.

Sometime they outsources to smaller studio to do some parts that they think wouldn't ruin the game. Like cinematic scene, props, textures, simple modeling, some adv modeling, simple animation, etc.

Hand held game project tend to be fully o...

The Miniaturization of hardware isn't cheap, especially if Nintendo wants to make their next gen system more powerful than the wii U/ps4/x1.

NX would have to be at least more powerful than the x1/ps4 to be competitive against them both.

Also, If they make NX portable and it has more processing power than the x1/ps4, the NX parts would be pricey.

One thing that is for sure, Nintendo will most likely use parts that are already available on ...

I agree with some of you to a point. Gamers who haven't played GOW on ps3 will benefit more playing the remaster version of GOW.

The problem is, Sony/MS business/publishers priorities need to be changed because there's already massive drought in games as it is so they should make current gen games primary ,and last gen game secondary.

I'd rather have a remake than a Remastered game any day.

However, I know remaking a game from the ground would make the price tag higher for that game.

I just can't stand a complete Remastered game anymore. Then again I wouldn't mind playing a Remastered game with a little bit of remake in it.

GOW Remastered looks great but all I'm seeing here is upscale-ed textures higher res.

Come on Santa Monica put some h...

misinformed?

you guys tend take things literally.
I know the wii U can do muti threading.

Any hardware can with more than one core.

keyword "design" collaboration of parts.

The ps4/x1 were designed to be future proof as far muti- threading. Both systems were designed with muti threading in mind.

"game pad idea was simply an old tech many gamers have already experienced with the PS3 before."

The wii U game pad idea just didn't feel fresh of an idea compared to the motion control concept.

The motion concept caught most gamers off guard, and some gamers couldn't wait to give it a go.
The Timing was perfect because no one(or the majority of people) has never experienced motion control gaming before.

So, it sold ...

A stand a lone VR device from Nintendo won't see the light of day until VR parts for mobile/portable devices cost goes down, especially if they want to match the graphics fidelity of other VR devices out on the market.

I Think Early in the VR era users who pay premium prices to have VR experiences will benefit the most until the portable VR technology become affordable for everyone.

Oh, VR won't happen on Wii U either because the necessary hardware po...

Agreed, Lucky for sony that mantle existed since both API uses muti- threading in a similar fashion.
I guess Sony had no choice but to use mantle to make game port a little easier.

Another thing, DX12 is perfect VR because it allow users to have a duel GPU setup on two GPU that aren't alike.

The mix matching of GPU is a very attraction feature to have, especially for VR devices that running on PC.

Of course, a user can use one GP...

Dang, I think DX12 is going to be a big problem for Sony/PS4.

Personally, I don't think any Devs would be stupid enough to not use DX12 as their main API.

First of all, DX12 will eventually be on most mobile phone. Plus, it allow users to have a duel GPU setup on two GPU that aren't alike, and of course PC market is huge.

Also, DX12 is a lot more organized API than openGL because

there's too many version of openGL...

I think Nintendo are off to a good start by bringing their aaa title to the mobile market.

My question is what really sparked Nintendo to go mobile? They might be getting a lot of pressure from their investors. If my memory serves me correctly, I recall reading somewhere on the internet that Nintendo investors wanted Nintendo to end their console market and go 3rd party or else they won't continue to support Nintendo financially . if so, than its possible that Nintendo ma...

No, not like 32X and the Sega CD.

The parts used to build those system was cheap off the selves parts that were widely used in blenders, microwaves, etc. Z80 Motorola processor inside Sega system was cheap as hell. 32x and Sega CD also had cheap parts.

Wii U has a mystery port no one knows anything about.... so why not make an add on for wii U?
