Um, totally off-topic lol, but yes, of course it is.

Not that it matters. Being officially "next-gen" doesn't make games any less or more fun.

It was a solid game, just not the second coming that all the fans tried making it out to be. I mean, it was a great game, make no mistake. It's just that there's a lot of great games out there.

I don't think that's true. A lot of people don't want to see remasters and that doesn't automatically mean they're fanboys.

For every remaster, that's one less new game. And people see that for what it is. Now, I'm personally ok with remasters provided they're games that are generations old and can be brought up to date. But games that literally just released 12 months ago? Waste of time. This was a PS3 game. If we wanted to play PS3 games, we ...

You're kidding right? Little Big Planet might be good for Sony's standards, but compared actual GOOD platformers on Nintendo consoles, even the worst Nintendo platformer is still better than Little Big Planet. And TLoU is a cross-gen port of a year-old game.

You're telling me a port and a mediocre exclusive outshine all these exclusives?

Pushmo World
Wii Sports Club
Shovel Knight
Hyrule Warriors
Bayonetta 2 (with Ba...

As if they didn't announce enough games already, HERE COMES ANOTHER ONE!

Getting that Smash hype train rollin HARD

4325d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

This year wasn't even a competition.

Nintendo made the Sony and MS conferences look like amateur hour from start to finish. It was BLOWOUT.

If all you see when you look at games is "kiddy" or "cartoony" then sounds to me like you still ARE a kid.

Only two kinds of games in the world friend:

Those that are fun.
Those that are not.

Nintendo ran the breaks off the hype train this year.

Nintendo won by a WIDE margin.
MS had a decent showing in 2nd.
Sony, I'm sorry to say it, but MS and Ninty both outdid ya

Thankfully I'm a gamer with all three consoles and both handhelds, so the entire expo was one big win for me. Still, no shame in giving credit where credit is due- Nintendo set the bar this year. SET THE BAR.

I'm sorry. I own all 3 consoles and two handhelds, so I have no vested interest in who won.

But Sony BY FAR had the absolute worst conference this year. You'd have to have your head pretty far up fanboy creek to think they won this E3.

And Nintendo bested both of em, so many new exclusive Wii U games announced I lost count.

Jaw. Dropped.

SO many reveals between the Digital Event and Treehouse.

I never thought I'd see the day Nintendo would blow the lid off E3, but that day has finally come. It wasn't even a competition.

If people would stop judging a book by it's cover and jumping to conclusions based off little snippets of in-development gameplay footage, we wouldn't have this problem.

If you haven't PERSONALLY PLAYED a game before, your opinion is irrelevant. You can ESTIMATE what you THINK the game will be like if you absorb enough info from reviews, gameplay footage, etc, but even then you need the complete picture, which you're not going to get from a little snippet of g...

I'm sorry, as great as The Last of Us was, it wasn't nearly as good as some make it out to be. It's the same thing that happened with Tearaway, and Vita fans proclaiming it as the best game on a handheld. People just want their preferred system of choice to have the best game.

The Last of Us was good, heck it was great, but Game of the Generation? I wouldn't have even nominated it as Game of the Year. Sorry.

And alot of people who herald The L...

Yeah, Mario Galaxy 2 was better than the first. It just didn't have that same IMPACT that the first one did.

Still, Mario Galaxy is a modern masterpiece. Anyone who disputes its pedigree needs to play it and see for themselves.

Get both.

I own a Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One now, and I can definitively say my Wii U gets more play time than the others. Granted, I'm partial to Nintendo exclusives like DKC Tropical Freeze, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101 and I LOVE me some Wii Sports Club Golf.

But that's not to say I don't like my other consoles. I bought my Xbox One specifically for Sunset Overdrive and Halo, and don't regret it one bit. Bought my PS4 fo...

I can tell all of you right now, if this IS Miamoto's new game, and if it IS a FPS, it WILL NOT, I repeat, it WILL NOT chase realism. I can promise you that.

And that's ok. We don't want Nintendo to make a FPS just so it can be another gritty realistic title- there are plenty of devs that do that already and do it better. That's their specialty. We want Nintendo to make one SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE it won't be gritty realism. SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE it won't ...

$20 in reward certificates at Best Buy, coupled with 20% off through Gamer's Club Unlocked means I effectively paid $27.99 for a day one pre order. Too good a deal to pass up.

Well, Nintendo's the first consideration for me. I couldn't imagine gaming without a Wii U and 3DS. Not to say I don't like the other consoles, cause I own a PS4 and Vita, and will be buying an X1 when a slim comes out.

I like em all, but being a gamer and NOT playing games like DKC Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8, Zelda Link Between Worlds, Fire Emblem Awakening or Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate would be too much to bear. I'd probably end up hanging up my controlle...

It's the best. Has no relation to Portal. However, it's one of the best games I've ever played- it's just so different than anything else out there. I guess that's the only similarity it has with Portal. They're both unique.

I'll say this- I'd be surprised, no, I'd be AMAZED if you didn't enjoy Pikmin 3.

This game does NOT need online. It's a platformer. Like Rayman Legends, which ALSO did not have online multiplayer.

This is not a game you want to play with other people. This is a single player game, meant to challenge you to the core. Local co-op is barely even used by people in this game. It's hard enough not dying on your own.

DKC Tropical Freeze, like Super Mario 3D World, is one of the best video games I've ever played in my entire life. E...
