That's not entirely true. Wii U can handle any PS3 or 360 port, yet it's not getting them regardless of that fact. Power isn't preventing anything. The fact western AAA games don't sell to the fanbase is the real reason. And all the power in the world won't change that fact.

I'm with you when it comes to the mini games. But I do have some good news. Miamoto recently stated in an interview that Nintendo is done with the mini games, with the casual-orie...

Right. Nintendo is definitely not perfect, and there are still a few features I'd like to see them implement. But for every feature Wii U or 3DS is missing, there's a feature present that other consoles are missing.

Miiverse is probably the greatest console innovation of the last decade, but nobody gives them credit for that, or complains that even Nintendo has such a feature, yet Sony and MS do not. Backwards compatibility should be a standard across the board, but I...

I don't question people who love the Vita. You like what you like and you don't have to explain yourself to anyone. Just because it's not popular doesn't mean it's not a great gaming device. I'm a huge Wii U gamer, and that's not really a popular system either. But to me it's the greatest console I've ever owned. Why? Because I love the games on it. I love the second screen. I love everything about it. I don't care if no one else in the world feels the ...

Ah man, scratch the 2DS. If you're gonna get a Nintendo handheld, wait and get the new 3DS. Xenoblade Chronicles and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. You'll be set for the rest of the generation on those two games alone.

I like the Vita too, bought mine back at launch. Fact of the matter is I don't play it much anymore. Mostly PS4, Wii U and 3DS nowadays. But I like having it for those games that drop every now and then. Like Freedom Wars. I don't care if I go all y...

Well, I can say there are still 2 more Vita games I'll be getting. Tales of Hearts R was one of the worst Tales games, but it's better than nothing. Freedom Wars, even if in Japanese, should be great.

My fear is that after those 2 games release, it's going to be a wrap for the system. We'll see.

Feel bad for close minded people willing to forfeit the best games of the generation simply because of the brand of the console they run on.

I don't think most normal people are that immature though. I have 5 coworkers that have bought a Wii U after I showed them all the games that it has. Most people are normal and just want to play fun games. I think the extremists really only show their colors on fan sites. But most normal people, once you show them what the Wii U is a...

Ya, got this game and now I'm totally un-hyped for it after reading all the reviews.

Who cares! If Nintendo wants to lose money then let them! Seriously, who cares?

And my goodness, so many ignorant comments angry because Nintendo doesn't have third-party relations or powerful console or this or that.

You want third-party games there's two perfectly good consoles that provide exactly that. Sure I'd love to see those games on Nintendo as well but the fact of the matter is relationships have nothing to do with it. The fact nobody b...

Any legit gamer should own a 3DS. People just don't know what they're missing!

I know one thing though, I'm not missing NOTHIN. This game is so good. Playing the demo non stop for weeks now, just too addicting.

A lot of people like Dynasty Warriors. It's why the franchise is still going strong to this day.

And this was no ordinary Dynasty Warriors, this was a Zelda fans dream, done very well and very thoroughly with a broad selection of characters, move sets and boss characters. They even have the cuccoo chickens that will gang swarm you and attack if you draw your sword against them.

Total blast, but it's the fan service that really makes this game special....

Clearly not a system seller. Doesn't mean it's not going to be my own personal Game of the year though!

Gamers who know good games know Bayo2 is where it's at!

Ignore these people. Some cant handle any person preferring a game over their favorite, a game they made up their minds to champion without ever playing either of them.

People made up their minds Bloodborne is the best thing since sliced bread since before it even had a working title.

They don't have to play it. Or this game. They just "know"

I just don't understand the appeal of Bloodborne. That overtly gothic atmosphere is NOT what I'm into.

I think they tanked their chance at a good Souls sequel and squandered it on that gothic monstrosity.

Just gimme a more normal adventuring atmosphere, not some grotesque, gory foray into the genre.

This is my idea if the genre done right. Every time I see Bloodborne though I just face palm. Of course people made their minds up about ...

Don't get rid of your PS4 for a Wii U. You're going to want to keep that thing for all the games coming.

But at the same time, you definitely need to get a Wii U. So many exclusives you've missed out on already, and the list keeps growing larger. By the end of this year it will be impossible to catch up on the backlog if you don't get an early start. Main ones to focus on though, 100% definite gotta buys are:

Pikmin 3
Mario Kart 8

I own all 3 consoles and both handhelds, but don't subscribe to PS Plus or Xbox Live. Only online games I play anyways are Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Mario Kart 8, and soon, Smash Bros.

Wii U, PS4 and 3DS all see equal amounts of play, in spurts of course. This month might be all Wii U, then 3DS for a few weeks, then a long PS4 binge.

What I don't play much is Vita or X1. Used to play Vita often but then they stopped making games for it after Final Fa...

There is more to gaming than mature titles, and out of 7 billion people on this earth not all of them want realism and mature content as their only source of gaming fun, if at all. There is always and will always be a market for fun games without a Hollywood blockbuster spin.

Strangely enough, over 75% of the audience for mature titles, are in fact kids. While less than 1% of the Wii U user base is under 12 yrs old, and over 85% of them are 18-35.

The ironic...

With a name like Miamoto, I'm surprised you didn't mention a single Mario game, many which shaped the industry, among others.

Super Mario Bros
Super Mario Bros 3
Super Mario World
Super Mario 64

That's 4 right there. All House of Mario.

Doom
Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Mario Kart 64
Grand Theft Auto 3
Call of Duty Modern Warfare
Wii Sports
Final Fantasy X

If people want a super powerful console to play AAA games on, guess what, there's already two of them on the market!

You don't need Nintendo to make a super powerful system to play AAA games, because you can already do that right now as we speak!

Nintendo doesn't need to do anything except keep making the games I love. And I sure hope they keep the second screen because it's the best innovation brought to the table since the analog stick.

Power is only relevant until you take a look at the sales charts, and realize that out of two dozen AAA multiplat games ported to Wii U, not a single one managed to sell over a quarter million.

Developers don't care how powerful it is, they care how many copies it will sell. The thing could have an N64 processor but if developers knew the game would sell millions of copies, I promise you they would find a way to bring it to the system. Not only that, they would be fightin...

Pikmin 3 is one of those rare games that only TRULY works well with motion. And it took advantage of that. It's about having multiple tools at the developers disposal, and using the one that fits best with each given game. Even so, Pikmin 3 used the gamepad not as an uninteractive map slapped on the screen, but as a real-time interactive map with corresponding satellite view on the TV, as well as a touchscreen interface to control the path of multiple characters simultaneously.
