Multiple sources with hands on are reporting it's a crap game with lavish visuals.
Maybe there's a reason for that. Maybe, it's actually just a crap game. Too many negative reports coming out about this game. I'm not stupid. I'm not going to blindly disregard the consistent negative reports just because I want to believe the game will be good. Forget all that nonsense. Game never looked that interesting in the first place. No loss.
Not to...
Ya, I own all 3 consoles and both handhelds. We don't believe in console racism in my household.
With that said, naturally I gravitate towards some consoles more than others. I don't play Vita much anymore, and I have yet to buy a game for my Xbox One (mainly due to the fact that I buy all my multi plats on PS4, and really don't like online shooters). Wii U, PS4 and 3DS all get a fair amount of play from me though.
But, once Sunset Overdrive hits,...
Sales tell you how many people are currently enjoying a console. But they don't reflect the number of people that are missing out on enjoyment from not buying one.
Most people never know what they're missing because they never bothered to buy one and find out. And there are many reasons people buy or don't buy consoles. Peer pressure, marketing, social stigma... there are many factors other than the perceived value of the gaming library or perceived potential valu...
Wii U sold 2 million over the holiday season last year. I'd say that's pretty respectable considering where they were at earlier in the year.
Loved Metroid Prime Trilogy, and loved Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze.
Either way, it's a win. Two of my all time fave franchises ever. Though I do suspect it's Metroid this time.
I tend to agree with many of their scores. Not always, but a heck of a lot more then western sites like IGN or GameSpot. Sometimes you just gotta find a review site where the reviewers in question have similar taste as you.
Typically, I agree with Famitsu more when it comes to Nintendo titles.
It's why they're proprietory, but has nothing to do with how expensive they are.
Or any at all for that matter. After Natural Doctrine and Freedom Wars we're cashed out. Sony went MIA
That's why I buy all my games at Best Buy now. Gamers Club Unlocked gives 20% off all new games, with free shipping year round as an Elite Member, and 5% back on every purchase with their credit card. That's on top of the $10 pre order reward certificates. Probably save about $500 a year through Best Buy discounts, if not more.
Yeah baby, got the codes in my inbox today!
Need this on Wii U and Vita, with 4 Ultimate on 3DS.
I don't know who he is, but your comment is most definitely the most entertaining I have read all day :)
Anyways, why would it shock anyone that there might be an incentive for gamers to buy both versions? People better believe I'll be buying both versions. No way I can pass up a chance to play as Dixie Kong!
Most people would rather stick their head in the sand than acknowledge the great games they could be playing on Wii U. Muchos respect to people like you who aren't afraid to broaden their gaming horizons
Who cares how much it sells? Why is THAT something to get excited for anyways?
I don't care if I'm one of 3 people on the planet to buy this game, it's still every bit as exciting.
Just because the rest of the gaming community can be ignorant to good games doesn't mean I'm going to be. I tell people all the time, go ahead, skip this game, skip that game. Do whatever you want. But as for me, I know good games when I see them. I'll be ov...
I just wish the ignorance would stop. I wish journalists wouldn't play favorites and give fair coverage to all 3 platforms and PC. I wish gamers would drop the egos, open their minds and broaden their horizons. My heart sinks every time as hear an ignoramus spout off that Nintendo sucks and their games are trash, or that Sony is garbage and they have no games, or that MS is worthless and they have to buy exclusives. I hate hearing gamers talk about sales more an they talk about games they...
Compact and easy to use. It's just like the C Stick on GameCube controller. I think people tend to put everything in a box, and say this has to be this certain way, instead of keeping an open mind and realizing there's more than one way to skin a cat.
I think if you bought a Wii U or 3DS, and played some of these amazing games like Fire Emblem Awakening, Pikmin 3, Zelda Link Between Worlds, Wonderful 101, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate or Super Mario 3D World, you would start wondering why you didn't do it sooner.
Just saying, Nintendo has a lot of great games. My PS4 provides about 30% of the games I love, Wii U about 30%, 3DS about 20%, and Vita and X1 about 10% each.
Naturally, a squid was the obvious second choice behind Mario
I own all consoles. I'm satisfied with PS4 and Wii U and 3DS. Vita I don't play anymore and X1 is only for exclusives (A lot of redundancy with PS4), so I'm waiting for Sunset Overdrive and Halo. But I've got no complaints with any of the consoles I own. I just wish more people understood how many fun games there are on the consoles that they don't own.
As for Wii U, no, but there IS Zelda Windwaker HD, and it's a fine game indeed. DKC Tropical Freeze ...
I imagine cost of manufacturing limits what they can do and still maintain that $200 price tag. They're already doubling the RAM and CPU speed, adding NFC, head tracking for 3D viewing at any angle, more buttons, C-Stick, and bigger screens. There's only so much you can add without increasing cost. And, keep in mind this isn't a new gen. This is the mid-gen revision. We'll have a significantly more powerful 3DS successor in a few years.
