I don't think people are defending it I think people just don't care that much. No console is perfect. I mean, sure, I wish there was Wii U party chat but I ALSO wish there was PS4 social integration like Miiverse. Doesn't mean I'm going to complain about it on every single Sony article for the next 5 years.
I mean sure they're missing some features but it's not like the console don't go online. In fact the most stable online play I've had this...
That has absolutely nothing to do with how many consoles they've sold. Nobody says "Man I wanna buy a Wii U to play Splatoon and Pikmin and DKC and Smash And Mario Kart, but the online structure (ya know, the FREE internet access you get and complain about) isn't up to my set of standards and therefore I'm not buying it.
And who says they are last? Their handheld is doing fantastic. Their last handheld did fantastic. And the one before that. And the one befor...
Have they confirmed that it will be in fact receiving more DLC?
This game looks utterly fantastic.
Cue everyone who doesn't own a Wii U ignoring or mocking it.
Sorry bud but they already confirmed they will not be showing Zelda this year.
However, they WILL be showing lots of other games, including many that release within the next 6 months- Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, Devil's Third, Star Fox, Fast Racing Neo, Xenoblade X, Fatal Frame: Black Haired Shrine Maiden, not to mention unannounced games and I imagine a whole slew of handheld games as well.
Monster Hunter X on Wii U anyone? Nah I'm probabl...
Agreed. And the people who don't own one only seem to focus on what it doesn't have when they should be focusing on what it DOES have.
There's a crap ton of third-party games you'll never see on the Wii U, but you'll be having so much fun playing the exclusives you won't even notice.
It's a feature often talked about but rarely used. In fact I haven't used party chat on my Vita in the 3 years I've owned it. It's become more of a political bullet point then an actual qualm.
Yes, totally. This game and Splatoon. Only games one needs.
You have to understand that the vast majority of Nintendo's customers are adults in their 20s and 30s. And they know this. They know their customers are adults. Adults value cuteness and charm while kids value looking cool and playing games with ratings above their age limit.
Who are you to decide whether a game is for a kid or not? Who are you to say that the games Nintendo makes are for kids? Because from what I see, people just like labeling their games as for kids bec...
The fact ANYONE could disagree with that comment amazes me.
Lucas Amiibo incoming!
Awesome. I liked New Order, will be getting this
The game IS an 8/10 all day, even without voice chat or a few other modes coming later (for free btw).
You judge the game based on how good it is- and the game is extremely good. It's not perfect but it's close to. If it had all the modes at launch I would consider this a 10 out of 10. All day.
"Cartoony game"? What's wrong with that? That's a GOOD thing. Who wants to play dreary realistic games with humanoid protagonist with violent weapons all their lives?
Yet another AWESOME, AMAZING, BEST SHOOTER IVE EVER PLAYED cartoony game. And those cartoony games are the whole reason to own the system.
Eh, I couldn't care less. I think that whole "holding it back" argument is just propaganda. How much difference does an EVER so slight graphical improvement really, honestly make? None at all. In fact I can barely tell the difference between a PS3 game ported to the PS4, and a game built ground up as an exclusive.
Why? You plan on attending in person this year or something?
Come this E3, watch the stage presentations of MS and Sony then watch the carefully prepackaged presentation from Nintendo.
There's a reason everyone voted Nintendo had best E3 last year. Formal sponsored stage presentations just can't compete with a pre-recorded video. No waiting, no dull sponsors and advertisements, no crowd appeasement and fake applause. Just the real deal- this is what y...
That's your problem. "Zelda" is only a negligible fraction of the timeless classics Nintendo offers, and it's not even the best.
Learn to branch out and stop playing only the games you think are socially accepted.
Splatoon JUST launched- hands down THE best shooter I've ever played. Why aren't you playing that? Why weren't you playing Pikmin 3, or Bayonetta 2? Or Mario 3D World? Or Smash Bros? How bout Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, ...
No my friend. This is one of the best games I've ever played in my life. This post below is from the heart and I mean every word of it.
Well, I've got to say I'm really impressed. Now look, I'm a Nintendo fan and have been for many years. I know very well that Nintendo doesn't make bad games, so I knew from day one this was a must buy. But, what I didn't know, was that Splatoon would be my favorite shooter I've ever played in my entire life.
...
Splatoon just launched- what's wrong with you?
Seriously though, Splatoon is one of the greatest games I've played in the last 10 years. It's fantastic. It made me rage hard when I was losing a lot of matches- I haven't raged that hard since the days of GoldenEye. But I also haven't played a game as addictive and fun in the last 10 years either- this game sits among Giants such as Monster Hunter, Fire Emblem and Zelda.
Definitely the funne...
