Hahaha, that was a good comment :)
Pre orders sold out in minutes! And it's sold out all over the world, not just here in the US where it's exclusive.
Voice chat or not, I'm definitely buying this game. Never in my life have I NOT played a great game just because I couldn't blather while playing it, and that's not about to change now. I'll get over it.
I'll buy it, but I missed it the first time around, as I did quite a few games (sold my PS3). So this gen is all Nintendo exclusives on Wii U/3DS and remastered games on PS4, with the occasional new game like Dragon Age and Witcher. And ya know what, I'm ok with that. Of course, next-generation I'll have played all of these games so if they do this again next gen I won't be so happy.
The end boss of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
I played him for 6 hours straight, finally beat him with less than 1% of my total life bar left, and was so excited I jumped up in the air and when I landed it shook the floor enough to make the disc skip in the GameCube. It reset the game and I lost my victory. Had to beat em all over again
It's 3 minute matches of chaos. What needs to be communicated other than, "Hey! Splatter ink everywhere guys!"
It's not exactly a strategy based military shooter...
Own every Amiibo released to date. Wave 4 and 5 already pre ordered. All 3 colors of Yarn Yoshi too.
Gotsta be quick ta gets deh Amiibos!
Correction: just a really super fun, highly addictive Dynasty Warriors game (which is usually not the case) with a Zelda skin.
Of course it's not a Zelda game. But it's a really fun game- MUCH funner than I thought it would be.
And even better when you already love the characters in the game.
600 hours into MH3U on Wii U.
Now 338 hours into MH4U on 3DS.
The single best video game ever created, bar none.
MH4U sold over a million copies in the west alone, not even counting the million upon millions it sold in Japan.
Engine has nothing to do with it. There's actually an MMO MH on PS3 and Wii U in Japan, and MH3U was on Wii U and MH3G was on PS3 in Japan.
Nintendo platforms just sell them more copies, point blank.
And that's true. We DO still have XCX. What do Japanese Tetsuaya sales placement numbers have to do with XBC being a top tier, excellent Wii U game to look forward to this year?
I just don't get it with you people. You act like all we care about is bragging about sales numbers. YOU may do that, but I can assure you most people with a Wii U just wanna play fun games. That's it. They can bomb and they can flop, or they can sell 5 million copies. Either way makes no ...
Nobody thinks it's going to be a savior. Real, ACTUAL gamers don't care about bragging rights and sales charts, they just care about playing great games.
Whether the rest of the world ignorantly cheats themselves of those experiences is none of our concern.
Dear goodness, that's your contribution to the discussion? Is this entire site just fanboys?
Criticism is fine, but objectively speaking, coming from someone who owns all three consoles and both handhelds, this game looks like it will easily be the best game of the generation.
Easily.
It's predecessor, Xenoblade Chronicles, was one of the greatest games of last generation, and this game looks to be 10 times the game it ever was.
Agree or disagree, that's fine. But when you start labeling people as fanboys and ridiculing them...
Yes, it is, which is why it's great to own a Wii U!
Forget Mario Maker and Star Fox (not really, I'm actually stoked for those games), the real motherlode is Yoshi's Wooly World.
Trust me on this. That game will belong among other platforming masterpieces such as DKC Tropical Freeze and Rayman Legends.
Agreed.
I have a Wii U, PS4, X1, New 3DS and Vita. I spent $3700 at Best Buy last year, most of which was games. I've probably saved at least $600 per year with the GCU program.
NOT TO MENTION the additional $5 back per 250 points (which are doubled with GCU, and ANOTHER 5% back if using the Best Buy Credit Card- on average I get back about $5 for every $75 spent!)
AND NOT TO MENTION the $10 rewards for pre ordering many high profile mu...
That's blanketing fans into one category don't you think? I see Sony fans that legit flip out over GTA getting a 9/10, so don't pretend this is just a Nintendo fan issue.
And this has NOTHING to do with Bloodborne. In fact you're the first person in this entire comment section to even mention that game. Nobody cares about Bloodborne. Out of the 6 million video games in existence why would you think that particular game is what is upsetting people? Or are you s...
Way off. Nintendo only has Retro work on the best. DKC and Metroid for the last 15 years, and I don't think that's going to change anytime soon.
There's also plenty of other games to see- Starfox for one, we know that's coming, Metroid, a Paper Mario game, a straight Fire Emblem, maybe Battalion Wars, a Mario Strikers game, a new Mario ala Galaxy 3 (they said they're working on a second), possibly a new Pikmin 4? (Please let that be true), Sin & Punish...
