A Wii U version would be nice, that could sell some systems if they implemented the Gamepad properly.

It's hard to say, I mean games, and especially new games tend to have a hard time breaking in on old consoles when new ones have been announced. Some really great games have been ignored at the end of a cycle because people are saving for the next console and games.

Has there been a hit this year? I don't even know if a game has met expectations yet, Tomb Raider was amazing, but didn't meet expectations, God Of War and Gears Of War undersold, it's tough going...

I agree with what you're saying 100%, Microsoft has the potential to have a stellar launch lineup because it certainly looks like they have been working on new games for the next Xbox over the last few years.

I look at Xbox Live as the core online service though, anyone who plays Gamebattles or games competitively like I do knows what I mean, the number of competitive online teams on games like COD and Battlefield have a striking 10 to 1 ratio in favor of Xbox Live on a s...

What a garbage article, lol.

Let's wait and see what's up on May 21st, anyone who thinks Microsoft is just going to let go of the market-share they have is crazy. Anyone who believes rumor over fact, or spouts ignorant fanboy dribble that has just been regurgitated over and over, needs a wake up call.

To think Microsoft has abandoned any one group is wrong, had Microsoft come to the stage first and showed Kinect 2.0 and a share function on their cont...

I would love a new Dark Souls game on the next Xbox, but if it is just something that was ported over with 30 more fps, then I'd probably skip it on the next Xbox anyway. Usually for game launches I'll buy games that were meant for next generation, otherwise there isn't really a point.

Actually, if you look at first party Kinect titles, they didn't actually release many, especially after 2011, I think Kinect was a nice stopgap for them, kept the Xbox 360 flying off shelves while the majority of their studios worked on next generation Xbox games, so the new Xbox could very well have one of the best launch windows of all time.

How can you say they pulled the plug on core gamer's when they released Gears 3, Halo 4, Forza Horizon all within the last co...

I don't think these companies go into these things with the thought of edging a company by a few consoles, they are all going to have their own distinct operating costs and creation costs, so one console might make more money even if it sells less.

I'm sure Microsoft wants to be competitive, and I'm sure they want to hold on to North America, if they have compelling hardware and software they'll be able to do both of those things, but only fanboys will clamor...

Nice blog, I am glad it isn't a hate filled blog about Nintendo, we've seen enough of those lately. Anyway I basically said the same thing, most of Nintendo's franchises looked good in standard definition, and in high def they look clearer, but it doesn't show off what they can do.

They needed to release with their Uncharted or Halo, and I don't mean copies of those games, but rather games that look amazing and show off what the console can do. A Metroid ...

They originally said they would support the Xbox 360 for 10 years, which puts it into 2015, that is over two years away.

The Xbox 360 makes a ton of money for Microsoft, they have transitioned it well to continue to not only be produced, but sell very well. I'm not sure of the rumors, but there could very well be a new Xbox design for the Xbox 360, they want to get it as cheap as possible and we might see a $99 Xbox 360 this year.

That would sell very w...

It isn't just consoles, try writing an article on Battlefield Vs Call Of Duty and sit back and enjoy the show.

This is disappointing to say the least, I mean Kevin Conroy even voices Batman in God's Among Us.

Something like 90% of the games next gen will be the same on PS4 and Next-Box, I run a gaming clan, have for the last 5 years, we've already all talked about switching over and sticking with what we've been best with, which is Xbox. Hopefully I can get both, but I love some competitive gaming on games like Gears, Halo, COD and Battlefield.

It wasn't just a Tweet, they have it advertised on the Xbox dashboard, and it's going to be played live on Xbox as well as Spike TV.

Aaron Greenberg also said it was about the next Xbox, so it's definitely about the next Xbox.

I hope they show the console, since Microsoft has always shown off their new consoles before E3, I think they will show it, especially after people like Major Nelson and Greenberg both kind of ragged on Sony a bit about ha...

This is the thing, Microsoft is a huge company with a lot of money, they aren't doing anything that Sony isn't going to do as well. Microsoft just makes it a point at going after everyone, no matter if they are a gamer or just a fan of entertainment.

Part of the reason the PS1, PS2 and PS3 were so successful is because they offered something for everyone, a lot of people bought a PS1 because it was a CD player, if you had a good sound system it was amazing to listen ...

The thing that gets me is that Nintendo never focused on the console itself, it really isn't a console with a lot of personality in my opinion.

Nintendo focused on the tablet controller and that is all well and good, but when you unveil a new console, you should show the console! That would probably help people to understand that it is a new console, the Wii U looks like a slightly bigger Wii, but uses blocks to stand up, the Wii was actually much more aesthetically plea...

I'm closing in on 100k Gamerscore, also have around 500 Trophies, so I know what you mean.

It would be the ultimate slap in the face if they didn't carry over, I put in so much time building them up, I mean we were set up in this excellent ecosystem and then if they pulled the plug and acted like it never even happened, I'd probably get pretty upset.

It literally just released, and although I already bought 4 of the 8 during their respective $0.30 sales, I did buy Super Mario Land as well, so I think they are off to a good start, it will gradually grow, but when you launch a service it makes sense to limit it at first to test it out.

Looking forward to when they add some more SNES and N64 titles though!

Options are good though don't you think? And people have to remember that Microsoft is a big corporation and can have a lot of things on their plate at the same time without having a single aspect suffer.

I'm sure the games will come, they do have around 20 first party studios now, they also have some entertainment studios and that might even lead to video game channels on Xbox Live, could help fill the void left by G4 if it's done right.

I'...

Wow, some of these things that they come up with now days are so futuristic, love the concept, but who knows how practical it would be?
