They could very well release both, we haven't had an Xbox 360 price drop in over 3 years, if they can slim it down enough to where you can buy one for $99, that would be huge! I could see it competing with Roku and other set top boxes, and people looking to get in on a great HD gaming library might also give it a try.
Nice to see that rumors are giving Sony the edge, but so far we don't know of a single first party game from Microsoft, so let's wait and see what they have to offer before trying to give the edge to someone.
All we do know is that we'll get the first look at the brand new COD engine and game at Microsoft's reveal. I wouldn't look for the big games to be shown until E3 however, as MS will want to keep some surprises for sure. If it turns out the Respawn E...
Tomb Raider for me, just an amazing game.
COD wont decide the generation, but it is the most popular and talked about game of all time. People will now, once again associate Microsoft with the best COD experience. To think it wont have any impact would be living in denial, but as I said it wont win a generation, just a nice feather in the cap.
Well their Steam Box guess is off because Valve isn't going to be at E3.
Here's hoping for a great E3 all around, and a few megatons to get us all excited and talking.
MMO's on a console were absent for the most part, would love to see some of these next generation.
To be fair they are offering pretty much the same experiences as the next PlayStation, just because they don't say "We're for the gamer's" doesn't make it any less so.
I mean Sony brought out a camera like Kinect, showed off Move, and their social media functions, does Microsoft not get the same opportunity?
Would you want Apple or Android to just make phones that can only make calls and nothing else? I think it's smart to give...
A new Perfect Dark reboot, Killer Instinct, Kameo or Banjo game are plausible, but they probably wont ever take another gamble on Conker, that game has failed miserably on a Nintendo console and Microsoft console.
I liked the game, bought Live And Reloaded for the original Xbox, but the game just never caught on.
If people are expecting a ton of game announcements on May 21st they might leave disappointed. Microsoft has already said the majority of their games will be announced at E3.
They will definitely show off COD Ghosts, and maybe another couple of titles that most people suspect, but anything big or shocking will surely be saved for E3.
People were only sketchy at first because the Wii U version wasn't listed, turns out Activision didn't list next gen versions for release and they continue the Wii U next gen.
I have some of the Hot Shots Golf games on my PSP, fun games, good memories.
Actually I didn't miss the point, I read the entire thing. I would agree that from a standpoint of Respawn Entertainment they'd take a loss from a market, but the rest was speculation over rumors.
If it hadn't mattered, I wouldn't have bothered to click on the article in the first place.
So PlayStation Life Magazine takes issue if Microsoft has the money to buy third party exclusivity? That is shocking /s
They are also going on and on about more rumors from Kotaku of all places, not sure I'd buy into Microsoft having so many issues internally that they wont have any games to launch with.
Epic awesomeness?!?!
I agree 100%, in fact I'm starting a movement to get Apple to downgrade the iPhone, we don't need anything else, no options, no nothing, as long as we can make phone calls we're all good right?
I mean why try to get your product into as many homes as possible when "GalacticEmpire" thinks you should just try and advertise as strictly a games console......
Seriously though, I consider myself a core gamer and I love options, it isn't o...
Just put out a new Metroid Prime game, and have a kick ass online setup for it. I loved that series and think it's one of the best to come out. I also loved the DS Metroid game and that had a very fun online mode.
Nope, it'll get tossed out quick, these things never really amount to much. Even the EA lawsuit over a monopoly with the NFL License netted only a few dollars.
People aren't forced to buy these games, they could have waited for reviews, became a little more informed about the product.
You are the biggest troll, Milo was a tech demo, Microsoft stated it was a tech demo. This Illumiroon thing is something they've obviously invested time and thought into. They are meeting with investors over it as well, it's a totally different situation.
If you don't like it, don't buy it when it comes out. You are so negative around anything Microsoft, just hop on down off your high horse. We get it, you don't like what they are doing.
Possibly, they already have a pretty decent price point and software that people will want, I'd see them doing some bundles, but I'm not sure they'll drop it to $199 this year.
I bet Infinity Ward has built itself back up enough to handle most of the game themselves, Raven Software tends to handle online stuff and maybe Neversoft is lending their hand with coding?
I'm looking forward to seeing the game take a leap to next generation, should be an interesting May 21st.
