So is there different versions on next gen and current gen? Or were the rumors wrong?
It's the mystery of it, like Boba Fett, I didn't think there was anything special about him, but he has a huge following. A lot of people (myself included) have been following these characters since 2007, so I think going back to before the events of MW2 could make for a fun game.
I'd say Sonic Generations took him back to his roots, that was an epic game in my opinion.
Really looking forward to seeing what a next gen Sonic game could bring to the table.
Infinity hopefully.
Looks pretty good actually..
They are completely different things, one is a projector, and the other is like virtual reality glasses, now apparently Microsoft has some sort of augmented reality glasses that it'll unveil sometime in the future for gaming, those and Oculus Rift would be a better comparison when we know more about them.
Blood Dragon time! Already got the Gears Judgment stuff as I'm a Season Pass holder.
As Markus wrote at Alan Wake’s official forum:
“I would like to make it clear that Microsoft funded the production of the first Alan Wake game, and while they were happy for Remedy to now self-publish on PC it is highly unlikely they would want to see the game on a competing console. While we do own the Alan Wake brand, Remedy doesn’t have rights to publish THE Alan Wake on PS3.”

Is the title of this article a typo? I'm not understanding what it's supposed to say...
Could just be cost cutting, those E3 shows can cost a ton to produce, and maybe Nintendo didn't feel like wasting that money when they can do smaller shows and Directs with the same result.
I mean Nintendo had the chance to own E3 the last two years and failed to do anything with it, we don't know how Microsoft or Sony will handle their E3, both have had suspect E3's in the past, even with console reveals, so anything is possible, but I kind of doubt Nintendo is ...
They aren't doing it out of kindness or favortism, it's cold hard cash, same with MS and content.
Microsoft owns the publishing rights, they allowed Remedy to find a publisher for PC, as they don't consider that competition, as long as it's not on another console. The ball is in Microsoft's court so to speak.
Is that the zombie game being made by Undead Labs? I haven't heard a rumor of Remedy making a zombie game.
Undead Labs was working on State Of Decay and another unannounced zombie game for Microsoft.
It hasn't been disappointing at all, I think the sales might be disappointing, but look back at when new consoles have been announced, really great games get overlooked because people are saving up for new consoles, games and experiences.
A few good examples would be Super Metroid for the SNES, maybe one of the best games of all time, but nobody bought it because the PS1 was coming out, and the N64 had been announced. Conker had the same issues, great game, but sold like...
Well it was episodic, very intense and eerie setting, I'm not scared by any games, but that rated T game put me in a creepy mood better than any M rated game has.
The combat and dodge system, lighting and use of light were all new, it definitely wasn't a typical TPS, as you had to be careful with your ammo, as it wasn't everywhere and you could easily run out. The flashlight was your lifeline, and the battery ran out quickly, so you really had to watch out.
It would make an excellent launch title, the game has gone on to sell 2 million copies, it has a following, and I believe Remedy could take full advantage of the power of the next Xbox, maybe even making it more of an open world game.
It was one of my favorite new IP's this generation, so hopefully we see more of Alan Wake!
I remember this question when it was asked in the early 1990's, granted the tech wasn't where it's at now, but I don't think the majority of people want goggles or glasses as an all the time thing.
I wouldn't mind trying it now and again, but I don't want to be encumbered every time I game.
Glad to see a game that did something different finally caught on to the sales it deserved. Honestly, the game was pirated millions of times, so it should have done even better.
Hopefully we see an Alan Wake 2 on the next Xbox at launch, or shortly thereafter.
I'm stoked for this game, I agree that it came out of left field and I was a bit confused as to why they called it Far Cry 3 when it didn't have anything to do with that game, but it looks amazing and fun.
The only thing I don't want to see is races that push the main plot of the game, it seems lame, but I have trouble the way the cars handle on GTA games, and I just couldn't complete those races...
