I don't think these things will become obsolete because a lot of "Let's Play" videos are retro, and you need a standard definition recorder to capture them, and I'm sure people will still do those videos for 360, PS3, Wii, Wii U ect...
So I don't think we're in any danger of them not being popular, you also have to look at the people that play Call Of Duty and go through hours and hours of footage and like to edit things themselves, I myself do t...
So let me get this straight, you think Microsoft just has to deny these rumors and everything will be okay? How about the fact that they hadn't even announced that there was going to be a next Xbox!
Do you not get that? Did you want them to announce the next Xbox by deny stupid rumors and speculation? I don't think so, that would have been a terrible way to do it, and I'm so, so glad that they didn't bow to the pressure of media and fools crying about rumors,...
Nice to see a positive human interest story intersect with a positive gaming story.
Microsoft was being very quiet, people were becoming impatient, so you start a rumor and try to goad someone into divulging information. It's a business tactic, and a businessman for some years now, I know it when I see it.
Anyway, I didn't have low expectations for the PS4 reveal, even though last year we heard DRM, and blocking used games, those are just rumors, and I prefer facts.
Ya, I kind of started my post after they went to Nintendo. They made a lot of good games, and I believe the quality is still there and has been for a long time, but there aren't any members from the Nintendo, Donkey Kong, Banjo Kazooie, Stamper Brothers days.
Don't get me wrong, I love Rare and I have every game they put out this generation, 100% beat Viva Pinata 1 and 2, I was just starting from the Nintendo days when they went to Nintendo and cracked their chip and...
I think it's safe to assume they changed it up a bit, probably the D-pad at least. I love the 360 controller, so the less changes the better for me, but I have a feeling it'll have some kind of touch pad and share button as well.
People have low expectations? I didn't really look at it like that, I think Microsoft has been the victim of journalistic entrapment, where the media spreads false rumors in order to try and get a confirmation or denial from Microsoft.
I have the highest expectations in the world, I want to see the next Xbox, the interface, the features, the games, and I want to see them actually running on the next Xbox, not a PC with next Xbox specs.
So hopefully I'...
To be fair, Sony only showed off Drive Club which was a new IP, Killzone and Infamous are hardly new IP's, but people were impressed just the same.
I would personally love to see some Halo demo to show off what it could look like. I think more people would be interested to see that, then some other game at launch. I mean people always say they want a Nintendo console to launch with a Zelda game for a reason.
I hope that Microsoft has a few new IP's,...
The console makers wont force it on us per say, what is going to happen is they might leave it up to developers to implement it if they so choose. Then it'll be up to us the consumers to avoid those games and show developers we aren't buying what they're selling.
Sure thing man, aside from learning about Rare because I'm a fan of the industry, one of my favorite Machinima covered them!

Something tells me Rockstar might show up this year, new consoles coming out, new GTA, good chance for a company with a lot of money to get some exclusive DLC and a heavy hitter on the stage.
I'll do a little history lesson that trolls will ignore.
Rare was formed in the 1980's by the Stamper Brothers, they ran a tight ship and did 40+ shovel ware games for the NES, they forced people to work 7 days a week, all holidays except Christmas when they had a half day.
The majority of that original Rare up and quit, then they reformed and did some nice things on the SNES like Donkey Kong.
The main team of Rare was working on B...
Hopefully both if they are cheap enough. Otherwise I'll probably stick with Xbox since I have spent 8 years building Gamerscore and friends and things like that.
Actually Halo 4 online plays so much faster and better (IMO) then previous Halo games. I think if they changed it too much, the purists would complain about it. I love new things like Promethian Vision and the drop boxes bring in some added excitement.
As a huge fan of Halo, I wouldn't want it to be like Crysis, because I love the deep Halo story and universe, watch the cartoons and loved Forward Until Dawn, I think Crysis lacks big time in the story department, and had ...
I used to love that game mode, but with no Ironside voice Sam, and next gen consoles and games coming out, I doubt I get very many current gen games between now and the end of the year, this is one I'll probably skip, or buy when it goes on sale.
Wow, this looks very impressive. I think the series is in good hands, so hopefully the game plays as good as it looks.
Actually I feel like the interface does indeed have a lot to do with it, and it was just my opinion in the first place.
More and more games on Xbox Live support servers, Battlefield, Gears 3, Gears Judgment, Left 4 Dead 2 ect...
Are you saying the features I listed that Live has and that aren't on PSN don't make Live better? Because last I checked, more=better.
Funny you bust out "another Halo", then mention another Infamous and Killzone game as counterpoints.
They just use that argument because it's one of the few they have left. If you are a gamer, you realize it's a hobby, and Microsoft is synonymous with a quality online service, no matter what the competition does, people will always look to Microsoft and what they are doing. That isn't to say the competitions online is terrible, but people just associate quality online with Xbox Live.
Microsoft's Xbox Live grew 15% and makes a billion a year, which has helped...
Hope it doesn't become to hipster to own one, eventually those types of people are going to own one and I'll have to distance myself...lol
Seriously though, if this is true, maybe it'd be better if they stop making the standard Wii altogether? I think they can do a better job at advertising the Wii U, maybe rebrand it or something?
Not sure how the Wii and Wii U are confusing, but Xbox/Xbox 360 and PS1, PS2 and PS3 aren't? I think those all mi...
