To be honest I never heard about this game until a couple of months ago, and now will everything leading up to new consoles, this game is definitely one under my radar. The concept seems interesting and promising, but I'm not sure it's something I'll get around to actually playing before new consoles release, not to mention games like GTA5 ect..
2 hours for a "reveal" that didn't actually reveal the console was a little long for my tastes, I would have liked to see the console running some things, not a PC built with specs close to the PS4 running them.
All the facial animations and polygon count stuff I could have done without, the Unreal 4 tech demo that we all saw before, the Capcom tech demo that we saw before, could have done without all of that in my opinion.
I think it makes sense in a way, if you can do things cheaper and get the same effectiveness from it, but that is a big IF.
Also, I think it makes me a bit sad because I liked to watch all the big conferences and see the demo's and things like that. If they can save money and put that into proper advertising and still get their point across then I'm sure it might end up being okay, I guess we'll have to wait and see at this point though.
I think it looks like a right proper beat'em up, sort of like an updated version of those classic Turtles games, I like the art style, a bit more rugged like the original comics intended.
Wow, the new art style looks beautiful! Cant wait to play this game when it finally releases.
Show me the console, price it $499 or lower, give me some good games to play, a natural evolution of Xbox Live and I'm good to go!
Game on!
Not sure Microsoft will copy what Sony did exactly, some Microsoft people were a little off put by the lack of an actual console reveal, and even took to Twitter about it afterwards.
I would think that one way Microsoft would want to one up the competition and wow gamer's is to actually show off the console, show the thing running the OS and show what the design will look like when you are using it.
They might want to actually stray away from tech demo's...
No way will they call it that.
Xbox Infinity
Xbox 720
Xbox 8
Xbox
Those are the top candidates in my opinion.
R.I.P Zipper, one of my all time favorite developers from the PS2 era.
Nintendo will still be at E3, just no huge conference. I can see them doing okay with this move if it means more advertising and Nintendo Directs, but they need to tease those more and promote the Directs a bit more.
Hopefully this isn't a trend though, I really thought Nintendo needed a big software showing, so they can keep momentum with the 3DS and get it back with the Wii U.
Hopefully they show the console, these designs have never really been such secrets before, Microsoft showed off the Xbox and the Xbox 360 at their own events before E3 and actually showed the consoles. Hopefully they show the console, talk about the features and specs, show off a few games, I don't really care too much for tech demo's showing me what can be done, I want to see what's being done now.
Hold off on the majority of the games for E3 so you can have a k...
Nintendo couldn't just scrap the Wii U, aside from investors and the fans that bought a Wii U, Nintendo would lose consumer confidence and tank completely.
They can turn things around, show some quality games and perhaps a price cut to entice people on the fence, but the Wii U is at around the same place the Xbox 360 and PS3 were at 6 months in.
I'm not sure if you expect the PS4 and Next-Box to light up with sales, but it probably wont happen like ...
I would prefer a system wide system, I'm holding out hope that they implement one, that is what is keeping me from buying more third party games on the Wii U. I would have bought and replayed quite a few games like Mass Effect 3, Assassins Creed 3 and some others if Nintendo had some sort of system.
Often times I'll play through a game a few times, but prefer to get something for it each time, so I'll play through it on Xbox 360, then PS3 for Achievements and Tro...
This is kind of perplexing if true and not lost in translation. Then again, Sony managed to get millions of people tune in to their PS4 reveal and that was probably a cheaper route then E3.
Lets face it, E3 is expensive to produce and all eyes would certainly be on Microsoft and Sony with new consoles and games, if Nintendo can do some smaller shows and Directs to show off what they have, it might work just the same, but I will miss seeing their shows, even if the last coupl...
This game could have done wonders for the Wii U, I don't really like it. Now I'm conflicted as to which console to buy it on, the Wii U version will probably be better due to the Gamepad, but the Xbox 360 version will have Achievements, so now it's not even certain that I'll get it on Wii U.
If people think they are showing off a ton of games you'll be in for a disappointment, they are saving the bulk of the games for E3.
I want to see the actual console at the Xbox reveal, maybe a few games and some of the features and specs that the Xbox will be able to do. They don't have to go all out, because that is what E3 is all about.
Misleading headline for sure, but I remember when Spark unlimited was rumored to be working on Star Wars Battlefront 3, and they were teasing people on Twitter about working on a "Sci Fi Shooter", what a let down.
Would be nice if true.
Hoping for Alan Wake 2, that game could take great advantage of the new hardware. I doubt they show off a new IP until E3, but maybe a couple of older ones would be nice. Ryse, Perfect Dark reboot, or Project Gotham Racing 5.
How is a yearly franchise bridging the gap? The way Assassins Creed 3 looked really sucked me in, but Conner wasn't half the character that Ezio was, and I actually hated his whiner attitude.
Ubisoft wants to start doing their games in DRM, I'll have to avoid it completely, just like everything else DRM that I don't touch.
