On PS4 gamers won't have to wait for updates, DLC, or even the whole game to install before we can start playing. In fact their is a second processor in the system that does nothing but handle background downloading. With Day One Digital, which was actually implemented by Sony last year on PS3, I won't have to go to any store to buy a game if I don't want too. But it is nice to have the option of buying physical copies or digital. Much better than having digital forced on me even ...

They could design some sort of app that would work as a controller interface to make it work. In fact they already have Crash Bandicoot and some other PS1 games working on tablets. So it wouldn't be impossible.

I have had Plus since day one too. I do hope that Gaikai will be covered under Plus or at least give us Plus members a discount. Seems like they have a plan to make Gaikai available for more than just PS3, PS4, and PS Vita as well. I see PC, mobile, and tablet connectivity in the future. Would be a great way to play many of the Playstation games.

It is some good speculation. I can't wait for the game to come out though and get all the answers.

I preordered the Knack bundle on Amazon along with another controller. Got release day guarantee too so I cannot wait for it to release. Now I just need to preorder some more games for it. Still have games coming out this summer and fall for PS3 I want as well and eventually I will get a VIta. I am going to be doing a lot of gaming over the next year and beyond.

I could see Sony doing exactly that. Have a monster ad campaign talking about their 20 years of gaming showing all the great games they have had. Then at the end have the PS4 showing the new stuff and at the end say Welcome to the Future.

I will agree to that. That is probably why Sony 1st party did so well making games on it because they did what they wanted. I still really enjoy my PS3 and the games I have for it. But I cannot wait to see what Sony's 1st party, the 3rd party devs, and indies do with the PS4 though.

What a turn around from 2006 Sony has had. Granted they have been working hard to make the PS3 as great as it has become. But they screwed up bad at E3 2006. Who would have thought in 2013 they would absolutely kill the competition.

I am a huge fan of Insomniac. I loved what they did with the Ratchet And Clank series and I really enjoyed the Resistance games as well. That being said I haven't picked up Fuse and I'm not sure I will. Even when it was Overstrike I still didn't quite know what to make of it or what they were trying to do. Then EA went and messed it up even more. I wish them success with their XBOX One title as well but at the same time with all the other shooters coming out on it then that may al...

Agreed. Everyone who has Plus now isn't going to drop it. And people who get a PS4 will truly see the benefit of having Plus besides the fact that it is required for MP now. I think the PS4 will just outsell the One by a pretty big margin. It will most likely be enough to get 3rd party publishers to think twice about any deals they have made with MS. Already their are 40 3rd party games coming in the 1st year with exclusive content and the system hasn't released yet.

Yep Sony has been ahead of the Digital Distribution aspect for awhile now. They started Day One Digital last year and MS was still adamant they wouldn't do that. They were perfectly happy bringing out digital titles 6 months after release at full price. But don't take my word for it. Here is a quote from Xbox Live’s UK product manager Pav Bhardwaj. “It comes down to choice,” Xbox Live’s UK product manager Pav Bhardwaj told MCV.

“The customer has the choice of going t...

I hope they drop the price too. I definitely want one but the price has kept me away so far. I just couldn't afford it at launch or even recently. Soon though I should be able to afford one and I will be buying one. Only question now is how big of a memory stick do I get and do I buy physical copies of the games or digital. I do love that they are requiring all games on PS4 to be able to do remote play but that will only work well for Sony if they can get the Vita out to more people.

I got the Knack edition too. Also got a second controller. Will get some game preordered at Gamestop and also get the Eye at some point too.

Where is the Knack Bundle? Don't tell me I was the only one to buy one so far. Lol Anyway great to see the PS4 doing so well. I'm just glad because I bought the bundle I get a launch day guarantee.

1 reason to get a PS4 over the XBOX One. Sony owns Naughty Dog.

For those that don't know. They are the creators of a late gen brand new IP that is impressing most critics even more than most over games released this gen. I for one cannot wait to see what they have in store for the PS4.

I am looking forward to this game. I pre ordered a PS4 bundle from Amazon that comes with this game. Even got launch day guarantee for it too. I will also be getting other games for it on launch but this one is for my kids and myself.

I just pre ordered from Amazon and got a launch day guarantee. I did pre order a Launch day bundle that comes with Knack so it was a little more than just the console but still worth it. They also have bundles that come with Killzone and PS+, BF4 and PS+, or Watch Dogs. Now I can just go to my local Gamestop and preorder the games I want.

So next gen will be like this gen for Microsoft. Halo, Gears, and Forza while concentrating on Kinect and the TV aspect. Is this really what gamers want from that system. Yes they did show more but a lot of the other games they showed can and probably will end up on other systems. Also I really do expect to see some cool stuff from Epic Games besides Gears this Gen. They had a pretty cool demo going that showed off the new Unreal Engine at the PS4 even in Feb after all.

@rela82me

Their is a difference between digital distribution and buying a physical copy of a game you then have to install and have it associated with an account. Buying a physical copy should mean I can hand the game to a friend and they can play it with no restrictions. Also if it is a single player focused game or one with a single player component I should still be able to play it even if my console isn't online. That would also go for DD games with Single player.

In a perfect world MS would sell the One during a late night infomercial or something instead of in major retailers. Even with Gamestop doing this their are still so many other retailers who will end up with very unhappy customers wanting to return it. Just too many unnecessary restrictions that the market MS is really going (it isn't gamers) for won't see until it is too late.
