The Gamestop I went to a few days ago asked me if I wanted to preorder the PS4. And while yes I did want to I will be moving soon and it wouldn't be feasible for me to come back this fall to pick it up if I had. In fact the primary topic of discussion was the PS4 and quiote a few people were coming in asking to preorder one. No mention of the XBOX One at all.
I love the Uncharted games but I too think they should announce a new IP for the PS4 before doing an Uncharted 4. We have had 3 on the PS3 and 1 on the Vita (which I have yet to play, because I don't own a Vita yet). I can't wait to pick up my copy of The Last Of Us tomorrow as well. But the best thing ND can do is follow their tradition of each console gen bringing a new IP. It was a bonus that we got two from them with the PS3 though.
Why are we still hearing the same tired it has no games BS about Sony? They have proven over and over that they can and will put high quality games for all of their systems.
They already are taking steps with the PS3 and having many titles be day one digital as well as disc based. I generally buy all my games as physical copies but with PS Plus I have gotten to download a lot of games I have wanted to play but couldn't afford. I also just bought the digital copy of Playstation All Stars.Eventually yes I do see it being all digital but at least it won't be any time soon.
MS thought really is pushing hard for nothing but digital by requirin...
Microsoft came back as a zombie and Sony took a boomstick to them.
Get used to it. This is the equivalent of all the Sony has no games articles we had to endure on here.
Very well said. It seems like again some people want to be selective and since they know MS had a bad showing at E3 they are trying to revert back to 2006 and the whole it has no games argument. This is the vibe I get when people try to say Sony didn't show anything. They showed a lot and still have a lot more to show. 20 exclusive 1st party titles in the 1st year for PS4 alone. That doesn't include whatever they release for PS3 and PSVita as well. That is the power of Sony and their ...
Wow that was actually kind of cool. I knew that Move was forward compatible but I hadn't decided if I was going to buy the Eye or not. Don't really use the Move much right now on PS3 but my kids have used it quite a bit and enjoyed it. If I show this to them though they won't let me not get the Eye and I think even I would have fun using it. Still nice to have the choice though.
Are we really going back to it has no games argument? I know MS is repeating a lot of Sony's mistakes from 2006 but you would have to be blind to miss the fact that MS just does not have the 1st party studios to really make XBOX One stand out. Instead they are still trying to pass off some 3rd party titles as exclusive when they aren't and also still relying on Forza and Halo. It hasn't worked since 2009 and it certainly won't work next gen.
Sony may not have ...
Oh come on even MS isn't smart enough to make an actual cable box. Hence the reason you still need to get an actual cable box from the cable company and pay MS more for an HDMI dongle to allow you to watch TV through the under-powered, over-priced, kinect required, old school looking vcr like box.
I just bought it earlier today through PSN. With Playstation Plus they have it discounted down to 14.99. With that kind of deal I just couldn't pass it up. Now I need to get a Vita so I can install it to that since I also got the Vita copy too.
They have already announced that Killzone Shadowfall uses the touchpad. I am sure other games will as well.
Well I have to say I am one American who will not fall for MS and their tricks. I was at Gamestop today finally picking up games I had preordered months ago but could never get until now and while I was there the topic of discussion was the PS4. People coming in wanting to preorder it. Not a single mention of anyone wanting to preorder XBOX One. Granted One will sell but it won't be nearly as well as the 360 did. Maybe it can match what the original XBOX did though.
Yep they said it then and Jack Tretton said it again during the interview on Gametrailers yesterday. Sony stuck with that on the PS3 and it paid off. They will do it again with the PS4. MS is just showing they are a poor imitation.
I have been subscribing to Plus since Day one. I won't stop now and I won't go without buying a PS4 because of this. I wasn't happy about it and I still prefer the MP to be free. But with the value I have already gotten with Plus it has paid me back. With SP not being locked down and none of the media aspects being locked behind Plus, as well as one account covers everyone on the system just like it has worked for games since the start it is a great value for gamers.
@DayZ
I saw that video too and he bought the full game. It just gave him the option to download the MP part first to join up with his friends and most likely would download the SP portion while he was already playing the SP. They have said that the second processor will allow for the background downloads like that.
I still don't like it but I'm not going to cancel my Plus account nor will I skip getting a PS4 because of it. I have had Plus since it started and for all the games I have gotten I have easily made my money back. Also none of the other things that are locked down like netflix on 360 is going to be lcoked down if you don't pay on PS4. Just like how people have paid for years for Live people will pay for Plus and it will mean more money for Sony. But it will be returned in the valu...
MS showed a lot of smoke and mirrors again. A lot of the games shown are not exclusive and even if they start exclusive will not remain as exclusives. If the current gen has proven anything it is you cannot rely on 3rd party exclusives. They make much more money being multiplat. First party studios has always been and will continue to be what really sets one system apart from the other and MS does not have the necessary studios to sustain XBOX One.
Also with the restrictions...
I like the look of the PS4. it will look great on my entertainment center next to my PS3 and PS2.
Maybe it would be better to say Non-Gaming Parents, rather than Parents. Trust me we aren't all idiots when it comes to games and gaming. I am a long time gamer and I am the one who has gotten my kids into gaming. Now for us we are also a Playstation minded family. So a PS4 is a given for us when it comes out. But I do agree that their are many out there who are very misinformed or either just don't care. But even with a flyer some will still be duped into buying the XBOX ONE and when...
