They have already stated you can group your friend's list by games. I'm pretty sure you could add groups for friends and family as well.
Another reason to be skeptical is this. Going back to May. Guerrilla Games revealed how much ram the Killzone Shadow Fall demo was using. The article says 4gb, but if you add up the actual numbers it comes out around 4.7gb. That is more than Eurogamer is saying is allocated for gaming, since they also stated the extra 1.5gb is only added for debugging.

Well like I posted in my previous post. Jonathan Blow who is making The Witness stated that his game was already using over 5gb in June just for the game. I would certainly trust a dev to know what his game is using more than Eurogamer.

I call BS on this article. Why? Well because of this article from June where Jonathan Blow the creator of The Witness talks about how much memory he is using for his game. he even mentions the 8gb limit of the PS4 in the first tweet.

That is why they are throwing it in the the system and making it required. Honestly if it wasn't I don't think they would have any game out there that would show people why they have to have it and it would sit on store shelves. But like the first Kinect it will be a lot of gimmicky add ins for games that don't need it or games that just don't work as well as they should to make it actually fun to play.
I wish they would. I still need to somehow get my hands on one just for the games it has that I want currently though. Just havent had the money for that yet because at 249 it is still a bit steep. I am going with the PS4. Why? Well because I know that Sony will bring the games. Everything else is just a bonus. They have the better track record for bringing the games along the life of each of their consoles. The PS1 had many great games then they supported it for awhile even after the PS2 was released. Did people forget The Tester series that ran on PSN? Sony has already developed original entertainment with this generation. And of course they announced that they would do more with the PS4. I am excited to see what they can come up with.
I have a feeling that Sony will be moving towards something like this with the PS4. Right now they have the Greatness Awaits campaign where in the US you can use your Gold Trophies to bid on certain items. Maybe they are testing the waters to see if something like this is popular. Good for Steam I guess to get something going like this though. But I don't play enough games on Steam or even buy enough on my PC to make this worth my time.
For me PS4 only in my house. Sony just has proven time and time again that they can keep bringing the exclusive titles I want and of course the third parties will bring awesome multiplats. Much like the 360 I don't think the XBOX One will have any exclusives that will be a must have for me.
They are independent just like they always have been. They are still making a PS3 exclusive with the new R&C game coming out this fall. I expect we will see a PS4 exclusive from them sometime as well. They do have two studios now to make games.
I pre-ordered the Knack Bundle form Amazon so I definitely can't wait for this. I know that not only will I have fun with it but my kids will as well. I still will be getting other games of course but I see Knack as a great intro to the PS4. Should be welcomed nicely to the PS family alongside the other great platformers we have had.
I just cannot wait to get my hands on this game. I don't play many games online anymore but when I was playing Black Ops 2 I had fun putting together little vids to post online. Also I have a couple from Just Cause 2. Nothing really special to them but I look forward to trying this out on the PS4. I definitely will be posting some for inFamous Second Son. I just recently started replaying the first one. After I beat it again I will start another playthrough of I2. I seriously cannot wait for Second Son to come out. inFAMOUS is one of my favorite series on the PS3. I even have the collector's edition of I2.
I have a 750gb hdd in mine. Auto update installed 4.45 last night and it is working fine today.
Just like how people said Bioshock, Mass Effect, and a few others would never leave the 360. Titanfall will eventually be on PS4. EA can't and won't ignore the install base that PS4 will have over the 360.

Well Sony can either come out with a great 1st party title that you have to have an eye camera or the Move controllers to use. Make it something people will want and they will buy it. Same goes for 3rd parties. make a game where you have to have it and if it is good enough people will buy the camera for it. Having it included where most of the games either don't work as intended or have some gimmicky add in just isn't reason enough to include it with every system.
