What do the last two generations of consoles have in common?
There was a run away first place console and a console that barely scraped by with second place and claimed 'victory' over the third place console in spite of bleeding money left, right and center in order to accomplish this second place finish.
The difference is that Nintendo and Sony have exchanged places in that scenario, while Microsoft has remained the same.
So, Greenberg, tell me if you would how many of those 360s were replacement consoles? Would you also like to tell us how many were refurbished systems sold as new and thus counted twice in sales figures? When you talk about sales figures, do you take in to account the amount of money you have to dish out to game producers to obtain exclusives?
If you want to talk about how well you're doing, that's one thing, but when you start talking about how your competition is 'hemorrhaging'...
Who should buy the MK franchise?
Somebody who knows how to make fighting games, which has never been anyone remotely connected to an MK game.

As we've seen, particularly in the video game industry, all it takes to make money now is to patent something so broad and undefined then sit back and do absolutely nothing with the patent until somebody successfully brings something to market, then you sue them.
It's the Microsoft way, you don't make better products, you just throw money at your own to get ahead.

I love how people keep claiming that Edge likes games that are "innovative", which clearly explains why Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto 4 got 10 out of 10 from them, because both of those games being little more than next generation upgrades of previous titles they really stand out as "innovative"

Sony and Microsoft are dragging down the game industry? How so, by not selling out their loyal fans of more than 20 years by switching to a different primary audience like Nintendo?
