If the 360 were a motherboard or a sound card with this kind of failure rate the manufacturer would issue a massive recall and the negative impact would be absolutely detrimental. Only in the console market can you get away with a piece of consumer electronics with these kinds of problems.

LBP was never a failure to anyone other than a small hand full of gaming media idiots looking for page hits and a small hand full of people who just couldn't get over the fact that LBP was not only innovative and interesting in a VERY stagnant gaming industry... It was exclusive.
Because the gaming media currently has an anti-PS3 bias and they look for excuses to hate anything that is an exclusive.
The first and foremost turn off for me for Vista when it first appeared was the fact that it cost so much and then as it's release approached and we started learning about the "Features" it offered that was more than enough to write it off.
