I like the Saw movies myself, but I just can't see a game based on them working. It's pretty obvious that they are trying to make it at least somewhat like the second movie... In which a character wanders through finding people in Jigsaw's deathtraps and he's given a chance to save them.

If a person spends 100 hours playing, he or she should have just as much of a chance at getting the same or equal gear as another player who played 100 hours.

Anyone who thinks that FF7 is "arguably" anywhere near the greatest JRPG of all time has no opinion on JRPGs in so far as I'm concerned.
It's not even top 10 material, it's mediocrity at best in terms of characters and story, and only marginal in terms of game play.
There are huge portions of the world that were drawn and designed knowing perfectly well that players would never get above or behind them. It's like a set piece for a movie... It only looks real from a certain angle.
