What is this, a list of 'The best games that I can remember because I've played them or their sequels in recent history' or a top 10 of the decade?
One of these days I'm going to read a fantasy novel where the main characters have some reason to drag themselves back through areas they've already been through to do things they didn't get around to the first time they were there and when this happens I'm going to scream with "delight" that the story is not linear.
Does the year 2000 count as part of this decade?
If so then you might want to look at the 135+ million Playstation 2's laughing at this.
So they need to learn a lesson? They deserve to have their game pirated?
No they don't. There's no justification or excuse for stealing things. If you don't want to pay for a game for whatever reason then you don't get to play it. You can try to put yourself on some kind of pedestal all you like but in the end you're just making excuses for stealing.
Did it ever occur to you that for all the whining and screaming about how they 'screwed' PC gamers that all you're doi...
Begun the "Let's say FF13 sucks just to get page hits" articles have...
...Because all the sci fi mmos have been terrible.
Didn't this author get the memo? Bashing on the PS3 just for the sake of page hits has mostly gone out of style now. This whole console generation has been marked with no end of disappointments and issues but only the PS3 gets talked about in that regard.
We have the 360, whose sales figures to date are actually sadly dependent on people having bought more than one.
We have the PS3, living in the shadow of the PS2 and trying to shake off the stigma of a bad start. ...
An announcement of an announcement?
I was literally playing Dragon Age ten minutes ago, and I'm considering cranking up the PS3 to play an older PS2 JRPG.
Just because he wants to overlook the areas in which his game hasn't evolved while preaching to others about the ways in which their games haven't evolved doesn't mean we have to overlook them too.
I will eat up PSP games quite fast if you start letting me play them on my PS3, even if I have to download them.
If I must purchase a piece of software to play them, so be it.
If I must purchase some kind of external attachment to play them, so be it.
Dragon Age is a good game and all, but surely the creators of it are not preaching to others about 'lack of evolution'? Humans, Elves, Dwarves? Dark mysterious ancient evil involving higher powers?
Tree people?
One of your companions is secretly heir to the throne?
Did they start working on this after Return of the King or was it the Two Towers that did it for them?
This is putting aside the fact that no matter how hard you try to make it o...
If you have access to the internet then you can find real porn and don't need teasing statues.
I do fairly well with the tuned car, but that regular car gives me fits.
1. In case the author of the article hadn't noticed it there is absolutely no shortage of homophobia on this side of the proverbial gaming fence. He seems to on at length about the people who might have a problem with optional gay content being pundits without ever seeming to acknowledge that the problem is as bad or worse among people who actually play games. We've had a number of articles just on N4G recently concerning this problem.
2. Now putting the issues raised in part one...
...where it lands I know not whe- OH ****!
dchalfont: Assuming one doesn't count FF spin off games such as Crisis Core and Dirge or Cerberus? Do we include the FFXI expansions? Or games like Dissida? How about Chrystal Chronicles on DS, which I think there might be more than one of? I suppose Dirge doesn't count since based on its release date it was only being WORKED on at the same time as FFXI expansions and FFXII. This is putting aside the fact that we found out about FFXIV how long before FFXIII came out and then there's Versus XI...
Square Enix: We want to milk the hell out of Final Fantasy forever
We all got tired of listening to the folks who made Forza not be able to open their mouth without talking about a game somebody else was making and how theirs was better.
If your game can't stand on its own merits without you having to talk down another game, then shut up and get back to work until it can. The same goes for Halo Reach vs whatever.
The ending(s) of Dragon Age Origins are pretty definitive. I can't see tacking another 5-15 hours on.
