During the mission in which you are launched via sub to attack the oil rig the sub you launch from is named the Chicago, if you pan over to your left you will see that the other sub is named Dallas.
Dallas is the name of the American sub from Hunt for Red October.
If a few months from now some DLC had been released I could see it but when they have DLC this quickly they are ripping you the hell off by selling you what should have already been included on the game disc.
I totally agree that people who pirate games deserved this ban.
On the other hand this ban was timed to coincide with certain events, such as the release of MW2 and the Christmas holidays coming up. This made it the perfect time to ban some people and give MS a boost in 360 sales for the season.
It would be both wise and prudent to assume that Blizzard 'tests' things in a vacuum, if they even test them at all. There's literally years of evidence now that in so far as class balancing goes Blizzard lives in their own world completely separate from the one their customers live in.
It's just a shame that they can't legally brick the consoles too.
This is basically a tantrum by some whining people who think that their opinion matters outside of their group.
What do you mean you're going to ban me for breaking rules that I agreed to and stealing games? That's just not right!
They know better than to put out a demo of the PS3 version.
Here's a crazy idea: Why not just delay the release of the PS3 version in the states until it's fixed?
Try though they might, the technology in the 360 and the PS3 are now ancient history by computer standards. It's still amazing what the current gen of consoles can do considering their increasingly dated hardware.
Have you ever noticed just how many games there are that have a comic book, cartoon, or recent movie character slapped on the front of them that are either absolute crap or at best not very good?
A lot.
It's become the "in" thing, particularly this gen but last gen is no exception to do a quick cash in by making a crap game that you know people will buy out of ignorance because they recognize the character on the front. This is why a terrible game like Iron...
You will never get perfect balance between a multitude of classes, but even if you never got 'perfect' balance, you can do far better than WoW does. The way things stand right now there's simply a massively unbalanced hierarchy of classes in which one to three classes dominate everything else.
Unless they've been adjusted significantly since I left back just after 3.2 dropped then there is NO excuse AT ALL that justifies Paladins or Death Knights.
I would give it to Batman: AA, not because I think its clearly better than the other games, because I don't... But because there are and have been so many games featuring comic book/cartoon characters that were either crap or only average and I believe Batman: AA should be held up as a shining example of what can be done with a licensed franchise if they want to spend the time to make it great rather than just making a quick cash in on the latest movie.
No demo?
I'm not buying it then. A demo is the only chance they have to convince me that it's managed to fix the mistakes of the first game.
What was funny was that for the first few seconds looking at that moon I did actually think the PS3 version looked better but then it became obvious that was the ONLY thing that looked better.
I did play it before it was released on the GameCube and found it to be good but fantastically over rated.
1) I canceled already
2) I've been playing since beta
3) I don't PvP
What kind of excuse is 'the game has some things wrong with it but it hasn't been out long' besides a completely lame one?
Ocarina of Time belongs nowhere near the top of that list. Just because it made people feel justified in owning a N64, doesn't make it the end all be all.
There was a steady stream of fixes coming through right up until this whole Bloodmoon thing came along, and now everything that is broken has remained broken no matter how many bug reports they get about it.
Until this company learns how to fix what it has before moving on to the next thing, they should not be rewarded with even one more subscription fee.
Make the pilot a sexy female cat girl and call it "Star Cat" and it will immediately be popular in Japan.
As much as I like Kratos, anyone who would trust him enough to work with him now is probably going to get the bloody death that they deserve.
Kratos is basically a villain in a world of nothing but villains by this point.
