If there's one thing that annoys me it's when an MMO has a big quest event that you mean nothing to in the grand scheme of things.
WoW had a perfect example of this when, as an Alliance character, you went in to Under City with the two of the games major characters. One of them decides to be a jerk and the other doesn't.
You have no choice, no option, no 'well I think...', you either follow along behind the jerk or fail the quest.
They already did a game based on it and it wasn't very good. It was decent enough if you were a big fan of the series but absolutely nothing to write home about. I believe it was called Samurai Champloo: Side Tracked.
Anime based games are pretty much like every other franchise based game... Terrible. There are always rare exceptions.

I've got a PC well beyond the specs needed to play MA and MA2, and I just don't have any interest in them. If there's one thing I could ask for in any game in which you can have relationships with NPC characters is a "Turn Off Romance" option. I don't need or want romance or sex in my games and its not because I'm some kind of moralistic freak or purist... It's just an aspect of the game I'm not fond of and would rather not deal with.
