Lol a few years ago the answer would have been "no," but now it's "yes."

Isn't Warzone still just a BR mode though? If so, many people don't like BRs, particularly people used to team-based multiplayer (which is why many people play COD). Why would you switch to a game mode you don't like just because it's free?
I think actually a number of CODs retain an active playerbase even after newer ones come out. I think non-COD people like a lot of us on here are guilty of assuming that the COD-types buy each COD every fall, when in reality for some it's more like one every few years.
It looks really good, but Dishonored 2 didn't exactly set the world on fire. My guess is that a lot of Playstation 5 owners aren't even aware of this game yet.
Lol I was going to make fun of the "Morrowind was better" people for trying to get hardcore credibility, then I realized I can't let a Far Cry story pass on here without mentioning Far Cry 2 and how it was the best and the new ones hold your hand too much.
If it's a situation where 25% of a server is consistently made up if bots, that will be lame. If it's more the case that a bit takes over a spot or two while people come in and out of the game, that will be fine.
I am glad it has them as an option to play with on your own, though. As someone who still breaks out the 2004 Battlefront from time to time, I'd much rather have bots to set up custom multiplayer with than a tacked on campaign.
It's because Nvidia did a much better job advertising and explaining their tech than anyone else has. They actually provide video comparisons of games with and without DLSS 2.0, whereas for console-specific techniques we usually only see the technique implemented, without a 1:1 comparison of how it would look against native 4k. Indeed, the whole point of my comment was that other people have been using these techniques, but it was Nvidia's marketing for DLSS 2.0...
In MGS: Peace Walker you fight against the CIA. No one cared. (I know it's not set in the Middle East btw I'm just saying the US is the enemy, at least in a sense without getting into all the MGS details).
I know you are ripping on fanboys for being hypocritical, but I think the acceptance of "fake 4k" techniques is largely because of DLSS 2.0. People have seen direct comparisons of DLSS to native 4K and can't notice a resolution difference, while they can see a significant framerate boost for DLSS. So I think that has made people more accepting of things like FSR and "checkerboarding" generally.
I've actually found it to be a strong testament to this game that even the people who supposedly disliked it can't stop thinking about it or commenting on it. I can't remember the last time I disliked a game and was still talking about it a year later.
But if multiplayer is free, why would the disc people be against downloading it digitally? For a free game that you play online anyway, the only difference is the method of installation, and that's assuming that putting in the disc wouldn't actually just trigger the download of the MP.
But you want to be out before Black Friday. And I know that it will be on Gamepass, but there are still plenty of people who buy games, so I'd assume that will continue to be a factor for a few more years at least.

I agree with you, but when they give us cool, underplayed indie games, everyone whines about that and says "dur hur, this month is mehhhh."
@CosmicTurtle
The first one was one of my favorite new IP from the PS3 generation.
I highly doubt it will be better than 2, but I'll check it out.

Sony wouldn't have made PS3 $599 if it wasn't going to sell at that price.
EA wouldn't have released Anthem if its playerbase was going to die.
Nintendo wouldn't have made the Wii U if it wasn't going to sell.
Square Enix wouldn't have made an Avengers game unless it was going to make money.
I agree that some games should focus on multiplayer (i.e. shooters with tacked on campaigns). This game just isn't one of them.

@Fishy Fingers
Obviously not, neither console has an Rtx card. I said that people had seen the comparisons, not that the happened on console.
@CantThinkOfAUsernane
Which do you think came first, the chants or the "world police phase"?

It would seem like the September slot would be the best move. Get out ahead of most of the other big fall launches.
