I don't get why people are pretending to not understand that you are talking about all of the Bethesda Studios (i.e. Arkane, id, Machinegames). If I said that Sony is good at making third person action games, everyone would understand that I was including Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Sucker Punch, Sony Santa Monica etc.
Yeah that's disappointing. Obviously when Sony made the exclusivity agreement with Bethesda for Deathloop they weren't anticipating that MS would purchase Bethesda, but it's still possible that some of the language in the agreement precludes any sort of release on a subscription service like Game pass, even if on PC.
Well, the people who made left 4 dead can't even get left 4 dead right anymore, so maybe this is for the best.
Yep. In a world where there's a lot of contention over game prices, there's a game reviewing at GOTY levels from a proven developer for $54 new.
This is nice. Typically when a game's review embargo is the day before launch it's a bad sign, but obviously not in this instance. Actually it's working out because the game is getting a lot of good press and now people will actually be able to play it soon.
Haha remember when one of the Gears of War games had like one good week in Japan when it launched and that was going to be the thing that turned Xbox around there? Blue Dragon and the Last Remnant were supposed to do that as well.
Sigh. PS5 is selling faster in Japan than PS4. PS3 got to around 10.5 million by most estimates, and PS4 will probably end up a bit short of that when it's all said and done. If PS5 gets above 10 million there, that is a solid result.
For several generations a certain crowd (cough) has been desperate to lump PS and Xbox together in Japan and say things like "only the 3DS/Switch sells there," but in reality PlayStation sales continue to be fine there, relative ...
You'd think that when you said PS5 EXCLUSIVES in all caps people would understand that you meant games exclusive to PS5.
I hear you, but almost every show has padding. Honestly I think they could have taken a minute to remind people that Kena is coming soon, because a lot of people were amped when that was first shown, and I think a lot of people have completely forgotten that it exists.
I see what you did there.
I'd hope. The feature has been in Beta for like 5 weeks or something.
Yeah I thought it might be one of the things they announced post show. That probably would have made more sense.
@Count-Zero
I mean I'm playing it because it feels like a more action focused Dishonored, which is a game I've been wanting for a long time, but I definitely agree that for people who are tuned in, it's been overexposed. I bet you have friends who would stare blankly at you if you brought up Deathloop though. And then they'd stare blankly at you more when you explained that it's like Dishonored.
We take so much for granted about what p...
I kind of can't blame them for spamming Deathloop at us. Those of us who spend time on sites like this feel like we've seen it a thousand times, but I bet every single one of us has a more casual friend who hasn't heard of Deathloop yet. I have several friends who own PS5s who I'm sure don't know about it.
Lol the only real disappointment for me (other than my ongoing complaint about cross gen) is that they didn't announce the updated firmware to add extra SSD support for everyone. If you would have told people before the show that on top of the expected stuff, they'd announce an Insomniac Wolverine game and a timed-exclusive KOTOR remake, everyone would have agreed it would be amazing.
As much as we are all sick of the rereleases, I think we have to accept at some point that there is now a tier of videogames that are just basically going to be persistent. GTA V is one, obviously. Minecraft might be the most obvious example. Skyrim is another. Unfortunately, Fortnite probably fits as well. At some point we have to stop thinking of these as just iterations of a game or series (though some originally were) and start thinking of them more like Tetris. With games like these we s...
Reminds me of that "Drifter" game that was supposed to launch on Vita and PS4 like 8 years ago
Someday I want the footage from the cancelled game to leak.
Insomniac seems to have perfectly mastered the system of having multiple teams working on multiple different games. ND tried this during the PS3 era, and it's part of how they were able to get 3 Uncharteds and TLOU out between 2007-2013, but we know now that there was infighting and rivalry between the teams and they have since moved away from that structure. Insomniac seems to have no issue with having multiple teams on different games though. I mean, they have already made two of the be...
Lol it's also ironic that MS is releasing one of the only PS5 games that isn't cross gen with PS4.
