Unfortunately Sunset didn't sell that well. Though I'm primarily a PS user I was hoping it would do really well because Insomniac was so underappreciated on PS3. Obviously it wouldn't come out on PS4 but it would have been nice to get a PC release to see if the game could pick up some Steam. They are a dev team I really don't want to go out of business.
That was kind of a waste of what seemed like it could have been a really cool map. Acts 1, 2, and 4 were great though.
He may just be annoyed by the use of kickstarter by a well-known dev. Some people are pretty strongly against it.
I think that's the point. While exaggerated, though, I do have to wonder how much better a game like Destiny would have been if someone like Bethesda had published it.
I'm going to be interested to see if in a few years a dev essentially tries to combine the two (openness of NMS with more structured missions of Destiny). It would be really hard with millions of planets, but maybe if they made like 50 planets but with more developed cities, NPCs, etc.
It happens on every No Man's Sky article/video (including this one, where it is posted on IGN). So no waiting is required. I love how not wanting to see an awesome-looking game get attacked means I "really don't like people who aren't the same as [me]."
Exactly. I've been sold on the concept of the game since the announcement, just sell me a copy already.
Here is another video explaining what you do in this game. So naturally, I expect a chorus of Xbox fans saying "what do you actually do in No Man's Sky? It looks like it has no point."
Septic is seriously trying to act like RROD didn't cause people to buy new consoles. That's how far this has gone. That's like the equivalent of a Sony fanboy denying that the PS3 was ever $599 by citing to its later lower prices.
People who want to have everything convenienlty installed and not screw around with a pile of discs, and who want to be able to reinstall any old game at any time. I guess I get it for the people still in school who need the little bit of resale value you can get from each game, but if you don't trade in I can't see any real reason for physical anymore.
Deals are for physical copies only. Eh.
The consoles are still out there, but those owners are no longer buying games in substantial numbers.
The thumbsticks are either better high (I.e. Wii U Pro controller) or low (Dualshock). It can't be the best layout with one of each, because my thumbs are in the same place on each hand.
The hate for The Order feels like a throwback to 2006-2007 when everyone was looking for a reason to hop on the "hate Sony" bandwagon.
Indie games that will probably actually work. Would you really take a broken mess like AC Unity over Hotline Miami 2?
I'd prefer they get rid of playable heroes. The great thing about the first Battlefront was that you were a grunt on the ground with the same specs as every other soldier. Playable heroes wreck the balance of the game. Playing as an overpowered Jedi/Sith is what the Force Unleashed games are for.
The people who complain about entitled gamers almost always end up being more annoying than the people they criticize. If, in your favorite shooter, the devs sent everyone a free weapon, and some people got melee only weapons that do insignificant damage while others got awesome assault rifles, can the people who got the melee weapons not complain because the weapon was free? Or does expecting some level of balance make you "entitled" these days?
So many of these articles.
Unfortunately it requires origin.
Also I couldn't blame Insomniac if they were salty over Resistance 3. It was awesome, but instead PS3 players all bought Call of Duty: Whichever one came out that year.
