So many people. There are so many third person RPGs and so few first person ones. Why do you think everyone keeps buying Skyrim?
I'm the furthest thing from an Xbox fanboy, but Avowed could be huge. I've been saying for years Sony needs an exclusive first person western RPG. They have the third person action/RPG front more than covered.
Look at me guys!
Not in the truest sense. But in a realistic sense, many people have PCs with integrated graphics or, unfortunately, Macs. If Avowed were to end up being great, sure some of the really hardcore people who play primarily PlayStation will be able to play it on PC, but a lot of people just want to play games on console and won't otherwise.
Saying that having a game be console exclusive doesn't matter because of PC is just silly. Remember when Bioshock and Mass Effect we...
Hmmm who could have foreseen this turn of events? It's almost like some console games will always be 30 fps because devs will always push the envelope in other areas to the point that is the best they can maintain.
Glad to see SP finally getting the love they deserve. As much as the quality it their games is a big factor, I have to say that I think a big component of Sony's first party success this gen is marketing. If Ghost of Tsushima had come out in the middle of last gen and had been the same quality (relative to PS3), it probably would have struggled to sell 2.4 million lifetime, with many people who should have been fans never even hearing about the game (I had casual friends last gen who were...
While I can understand some people's disappointment, I think Avowed will be a huge exclusive if they pull it off. For some reason people just can't seem to make first person western RPGs, and people are so starved for them that they end up buying Skyrim over and over.
Far Cry 2 is the best game in the series though.
It does. Although you can't fault them for wanting Destiny's level of success.
It's also designed for Xbox One, and Halo has never been a graphical powerhouse, it's always been more about performance.
Interesting that they are bringing Fable back. It always surprised me how long they let that series stay dormant.
Do you want to bet that there won't be 30 fps games on Xbox?
No sarcasm, this will probably be the most attention this game gets. Certainly it's more than it would have gotten from "check out this trailer please."
That moment when you rip someone for saying something old and played out but you also use the word "butthurt," which everyone else your age stopped saying ten years ago.
I'd so be in favor of 1080p 60fps over 1440p 30fps if it comes to that, although hopefully it doesn't.
American reviewers criticizing a game for rewriting Japanese history while themselves speaking on behalf of Japanese people, instead of just letting Japanese reviewers give their own perspective, is the most 2020 thing I've seen.
Wait, you mean a tech demo of a new engine, shown half a year before a console launch, was not a demonstration of the engine's full capabilities on that system?
I have some sympathy for super young kids who buy loot boxes without really understanding what they are doing (it's the parents' fault in that case). But if someone is a legal adult or even mid-teens, they should really know better.
This is the only game from the Xbox showcase that could get me to buy an Xbox. And yes, I know, blah blah blah PC blah blah not really exclusive.
