The idea that either Apple or Epic has to lose really makes me happy.
Moving forward, I think we should start referring a dev botching a next-gen upgrade as "Remedying."
If only there was a company that regularly put out high-quality singleplayer-focused games that always sold well.
Obviously the decline in quality is an issue, but I think it also suffered from being released too soon after RE2: Remake.
@xHeavyx
Hence the "I'm not actually going to do this," follow-up, which you'd think would be unnecessary because you'd assume people would inherently understand that I wasn't being serious.
@TheEnigma313
Yeah I'm not going to actually do that, I just wish Sony would believe that people would do that so they'd hurry up and announce pre-orders.
Yep. I'm getting PS5, but I'd be tempted to get XSX if they announced first just to reward them for being less annoying.
Not sure why anyone who mentions Cyberpunk as a potential GOTY contender gets downvoted so hard. I don't know if it will win, but there are a lot of good reasons to think it will be in the conversation for many people/websites.
@Bumpy
I would agree generally; you'd think after PS3 at least Sony would be afraid of $599 forever. But if $499 is the highest either company is going to go (Sony with disk drive version of PS5 and MS with Series X), why will neither of them announce? That's a pretty reasonable price for either of those machines, and now that we know Series S is real, there's way less pressure than some imagined on MS to make Series X cheaper than PS5.
I hope...
I think that's the idea. That people will understand that "S" is the base version of the console each gen and the "X" is the high end version. Not saying it's actually going to work rather than create confusion, but I see the principle of it.
If it is $299 and Series X is $599, Series S is going to be the primary next-gen Xbox (as much as certain people on here would deny it, everyone knows this is true). If the difference is $100 or less, I don't see Series S taking off.
@neutralgamer1992
As Vegamyster pointed out, that is exactly my point. When a first party series announces a PC release, everyone loses their minds and declares the death of the console that series had been exclusive to because "why would anyone buy a console when they can get a PC to play all the same games?"
This ignores that people have been buying consoles to play games they could play better on PC since at least the beginning of the 360/PS3 gen (in p...
Do you think anyone buys a console to play COD/Battlefield? If so, why, since it's on PC?
Do you think anyone buys a console to play Skyrim/Witcher 3? If so, why, since it's on PC?
Do you think anyone buys a console to play FIFA? If so, why, since it's on PC?
Lol the same people saying PlayStation is anti-consumer for having so many exclusives were saying in 2006-2007 that there was no point in buying a PlayStation 3 because it didn't have Gears of War or Halo 3.
As with everything, exclusives were great when MS was successful with them on 360, but then when Sony achieved success through them on PS4, they became a bad thing for gaming.
Lol the "prior gen install base" argument. I've missed that old chestnut. I love forward to seeing it a lot the next year and a half.
I don't want them to "toss out" controllers. I want them to make their first PSVR controller, because Move wasn't even a VR controller, it's just something they repurposed. Honestly very disappointing considering how good the PSVR headset is otherwise.
I don't know why you mention Index. Of course any controller is subject to criticism, but the point is that PSVR controllers lack one of the most essential, if not the most essential parts of a contr...
Probably yeah. This is a line from Injustice 2, I thought more people would recognize it, but I guess nobody here played it much.
Wanna hear a joke? Harley Quinn versus Superman.
This looks awesome, but PSVR's controllers are atrocious compared to Oculus controllers. They should really come out with new ones with analog sticks for PS5. Obviously you can play many games with the DS4, but that removes much of the immersion.
Hopefully there's a PS5 iteration of PSVR with real controllers and a wireless headset.
I'm already sad that both exist.
