Buy it. It's a very good adaptation. I've played the physical board game loads of times. This app is nice for when I want to play solo

Hopefully they'll release On the Brink and In the Lab as IAP.

Only thing the app needs is online co-op multiplayer.

It is a downside of the 'superior' platform. For all the posturing of the PC elitists the rampant cheating is more excessive than in console versions.

I've wondered about this as well... Is it for some personal glory of appearing on Leaderboards. Is it to intentionally annoy other players. Is it because they suck so badly. Is it just because they can.

Seems odd to me. I prefer to play fair - even if I usually get crushed because I suck. :)

Exactly - someone hacking the game in beta is just revealing the exploit for DICE to patch and hopefully improve their tools for spotting cheats / hackers.

This isn't a fanboy issue.

It's clear from review scores, public opinion and personal experience that their games are not as good as 'back in the day'.

Fuse was poor. The more recent Ratchet games have been weak. Resistance has always been a bit of acquired taste (I liked 1, wasn't keen on 2, and found 3 a bit boring).

Whether their decline is due to talent leaving, because they no longer have the safety net of Sony bankr...

Insomniac need to take a long hard look at themselves.

They've gone from being the 'Pixar of video games' to completely average.

I have no problem with them going multiplat, but their recent output is lacking in all the magic that made their earlier games brilliant (especially their PS2 Ratchet games).

I find it funny that they say '15-20minutes'. As if everyone on the planet has the same speed of internet connection.

I've given SE a lot of stick recently for their FF titles, but credit where it's due - it was a brave move to pull FFXIV and relaunch it.

It's a very solid MMO and I'm enjoying it a lot. It's not hugely original, but there are a few touches that are nice. The main thing is how the game is so immersive - the graphics play a huge part in this and they are simply stunning - not just by MMO standards but when compared against any current game they hold their...

They said the same thing about the PS3 generation, so nice to hear them say it again. Means I can look forward to support throughout the entire generation and epic titles even at the end of the consoles life.

When you consider that the PS2 saw it's last title launch THIS MONTH, that's helluva marathon Sony has run!!

If the game looks great and plays great I don't care what resolution it's in.

Saying that... I have zero interest in an ex-Kinect game from a developer who hasn't made a really good game since FarCry.

@Death

Yeah, I read the article :)...

But looking at this part of the interview...

"‘It’s not going to be us – it’s not the early adopters that this is a problem [for] – which is why we’re not prioritising solving it right off the bat,’ said Penello.

‘Because the price of the consoles will have to come down like they do in every generation, the market will expand, we’ll eventually catch up to the people who are probably ...

I think this is the first time it has been confirmed by an MS Exec. Everything else has been speculation.

I had a search round N4G before posting the story, but couldn't find anything official.

This is a huge black mark against MS. They could have announced this at GamesCom. There will be a lot of people who will not know that everything MS showed about interactive TV being the future does not apply to Europe.

Achievement Challenges sound cool. Wasn't aware of that but like the idea a lot.

They did miss off #34 though... DRM will make a come back at some point. MS have already said that some functions (such as the family sharing stuff) could come back, which means a return of the DRM so many hated. It really wouldn't surprise me if they change policy again once they've sold a few million.

If you don't like the nickname, then don't call your console something stupid!

I found the story, overall, was OK - but what I really hated was some of the awful support characters. I was hoping more of her friends would be picked off. They were so stereotypical and had terrible dialogue it annoyed me every time she interacted with them.

The moments when Lara was in contact with Conrad or Angus were nicely done, but all the rest were annoying.

Hmm, I wonder how many of those held back units will end up magically appearing on shelves the same day as the XB1's launch!! :)

The console/PC owner snobbery in these replies is amazing.

I thought we were gamers!

There's tonnes of innovative and awesome games on mobile devices, and especially iPhone. If you dismiss the iPhone / iPad you're just missing out on some great games. What a shame.

PC to console comparisons are not apples to apples.

In terms of raw power, yes a top end PC will beat a console. But consoles are optimised for gaming. PC's are general purpose.

If you took the exact same components that are in the PS4, and built an equivalent Windows PC, games would run like ass. But look at Killzone, it is obviously running far beyond what an equivalent PC could do.

The reason is that everything is optimised. The de...
