"how good is one game to last?"

Well, if KZ2's multiplayer is as good as CoD4's - then the answer is a very long time. I know plenty of people still playing it!

The latest Edge mag previewed this game.

It sounds OK.

Seems like a cross between Planetside and Tribes.

Doesn't have as many players per side as Planetside, but has base captures for bonuses to your squad and spec'ing out your character for different roles. Overall spirit of the game seems to be to bring Tribes up to date.

I doubt the Apple patent would have much effect.

Nintendo patented multi-touch way before Apple for the original DS - but it wasn't implemented. The Nintendo patent was applied for in 2004 and granted in 2006 - 2006 was the same year Apple applied for theirs!

Wow, I got in to this game for a while. Under-rated in my opinion.

Why did an ADMIN approve this story?

JamieSI (10) - Admin. Can approve articles in a single click...

How is N4G expected to self police the posting of articles when, despite numerous genuine Reports, it STILL gets pushed through by an Admin.

I find it pretty boring seeing all the PS3 is doomed articles, and I really hope we're not going to see the same for 360 now. I come to N4G for news (and comedy fanboy rantings), not the same articles every day.

However, one thing I am noticing is the lack of any sort of reasonable or structure arguments from the two fanboy camps.

As a general rule 360 fanboys will bang on about high sales, attach rates and 3rd party games. PS3 fanboys will bang on about graphi...

I like em both. They definitely add replay value. I played Crackdown for months after beating it, just because I liked the achievements.

In terms of which is structured better I prefer Trophies because it's a little more 'RPG' with it's Levels and Platinum/Gold/Silver/Bronze rewards rather than the Highscore that Achievements give - but neither mean much to be honest - just a sad reflection on how much I play games!!!

Hey karlostomy... You're links have been cut off. (Sounds painful)! :)

As I mentioned in my post (11.0), Sony are taking the pain with the PS3.

But over a 10 year period (or more) the loses will reduce - we're in Y2 of the PS3, with at least 8 to go, and already they are with in 50$ of profitability. And as I think the PS4 will be an evolution of the PS3 (although a very powerful evolution), they'll fill in that hole.

I think Sony may actually have a ...

If you like the extra features that LIVE offers, and can justify the price - then great.

If PSN meets all your needs, then enjoy.

For me I cancelled my Gold LIVE membership because I felt it was pointless. Most people I know have PS3's, and the only feature I want from my online service is the ability to play online. The service I use is dictated by the friends I have. If most of my buddies were 360 owners I would subscribe to LIVE.

So for me, it's no...

Sony are in a great position for the PS4.

In every area that costs serious money, Sony have reduced their expenditure.

Why?

R&D costs slashed... The Cell has been developed. Costs are coming down all the time and yields are going up. The PS4 will be a multi-Cell machine (definitely 2 CELL's, possibly 3). Blu-Ray costs are down - by the time the PS4 launches Blu-Ray drives will be extremely cheap to produce.

Right there - the two big...

Care to elaborate, anthonyp01?

Is it the math that is troubling you perhaps? I could try typing slower if that would help!

6351d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Just do the math... I'll even lay it out for you...

20,000,000 / 100 = 200,000

20,000,000 / 100 * 3 = 600,000

Is that a lot consoles? Yes

So if Sony is at the upper end of the industry target of 3% failure rate, that's still well over half a million consoles. In some respects - the more they sell the worse it will look!

But is it a bigger problem that we thought? No, and I'm surprised Deep would use a title like that for the...

The Playstation brand has never been about one 'must own' title. Why should the PS3 be any different.

I expect to hear any day now that Criterion will be closing it's doors...

Look at the FACTS:

- They make GREAT games

- They support their game(s) with loads of free and paid-for DLC

- They LISTEN to their customers

Surely that CAN'T be right in this day and age. Goddammit, I want a shoddy port, with naff graphics, and then have overpriced DLC shovelled down my neck 5 minutes after launch, while listening to the developer talk ab...

Agreed.

KZ2 looks great, and word has it that it plays great to. Fantastic, that's good news - if it is the case I'll pick it up after trying the demo.

But Killzone is not a well known IP outside of the hardcore gamer. Also GG have not exactly sparkled with it's previous titles.

I know quite a few PS3 owners who love FPS games, especially the CoD series, but are not 'hardcore' gamers at all. They are vaguely aware of KZ2, but don't have any plan...

- PS3 doesn't need saving

- The Playstation brand has never relied on ONE franchise or IP

- KZ2 will probably sell a similar amount to MGS4, possibly less.

That 50million bought MS lots of publicity. If they made some extra hardware sales of the back of it, then yes it was worth it to them I suppose.

I would have prefered, as a 360 owner, MS put that 50million in to funding something else - anything else.

Epic mentioned that the original Gears of War cost 10million to develop, if that's true MS could have got a LOT more bang for their buck.

They could have...
