When I first played the demo, I did wonder why leading a target felt a little heavy/stodgy. However it was pretty easy to adjust to - like a previous poster said it's like moving between an arcade racer and a sim racer - just takes some adjustment.

What I do have an issue with is not being able to fully customise the controller, and not having a toggle for crouching. Alt-2 is the closest I've got to a nice layout, but I would still rather be able to toggle crouching on/off (lik...

Why wouldn't Sony count those 50,000?!

In the UK Wii's, PS3's and 360's are given away with some mobile phone contracts - they are still counted as units out in the marketplace.

You build a unit - you get it out in the marketplace - you report it on the balance sheet.

Just because the end consumer did not pay anything for the unit doesn't mean it's not a sale.

Sony is not one big company - they are made of divisions, so the chances are the...

Used Alt-2 control scheme and that helped a lot - would still prefer to fully customise the controls myself (why is this not standard in EVERY game!?!)

Cover system is a little clunky - requiring a few too many button holds/presses for my liking (glad it's not in the multiplayer), but I can't see how they could have done better without resorting to an annoying 'sticky' cover system.

Demo was short and looked absolutely amazing in places. Game play didn't blow me awa...

I think I'll wait for official confirmation... INQ isn't exactly known for it's journalistic rigour... (Although I do find their anti-Nvidia rants quite funny!)

Controls are poor - but you adapt and survive... Or you come to N4G and whine.

If you don't like the controls, don't buy the game. That's the beauty of a demo - you can make an informed choice.

RE4 was still one of the best games I ever played despite the controls; hopefully RE5 will also be fantastic. The demo left me undecided.

"Shift focuses on simulation racing - not just the realistic movement of cars, but also driver behaviour. This, EA marketing boss Keith Munro told Eurogamer, is what will set the game apart. Also, less baggy jeans and hip-hop."

Oh dear...

I quite liked some of the NFS games - especially the old stuff, and more recently Most Wanted. I agree they lost their way with the crazy yearly release schedule, but I dunno if they will find much better luck going ...

Yeah, at one point everything Rare touched was Gold.

It went far beyond their more popular IP's. Sure GoldenEye was awesome, B&K was awesome, KI was great. But there was also so much more... Conker, Blast Corps, Jetforce Gemini... The list just goes on and on, right back to when they were called Ultimate Play the Game.

I think it's no coincidence that Nintendo were so happy to sell their share in Rare to MS when they did - I think Nintendo knew the talent h...

The hype for LBP was mostly generated around gaming websites. Outside of that it was yet another case of Sony failing to market their games.

Fable 2 is now a big 1st party Xbox franchise, by a legendary developer and was released when it had almost zero competition.

It's a disgrace that both titles sold fairly low, they deserved more sales and no amount of spinning will make it look any different.

I believe the game would have sold more if it was packaged up as a new IP.

I think the B&K faithfull kept away because it wasn't a true platformer.

It was also poorly advertised - up until release it was hard to tell what it actually was meant to be... I saw comparisons to LBP. I saw it called a platformer. I saw it called a racing game platformer!

It was hard to define what the game was or wanted to be, so I think MS/Rare decided to slap B&a...

I guess they meant 'exclusive' or 'published by'.

Well, if you look at it from SquareEnix's point of view it's kinda understandable.

Their games have always been that little bit bigger than anyone else's. On PS1 and PS2 the production values (and therefore cost/budget) was bigger than anything else.

No one knows the average cost of creating a game right now, but whatever it is, I would hazard a guess that SquareEnix will be spending more on FFXIII.

With this being the case, they have to pay the b...

Nonsensical story... Check
Clunky controls... Check

Do I want Lost Planet 2?... Check!

I have no idea why I liked the first game, but I'm looking forward to a sequel!

@VoiceofReason

You could always try clicking on my name and looking at my Bio... You may just find my Gamercard in there!

I bought an Xbox at launch as it looked like a great console. However the longer I own one, the less relevant I find the Xbox brand becoming to gaming. Which is exactly what I meant in my first post - less AAA, reliance on a couple of over-rated/hyped products, and the good games and studios they have/had are just fading away.

And how many of those are on PC as well? And how many of those are really AAA. And how many of those are from studios that have either been dropped by MS, or have stopped developing those franchises, or been pissed off by MS? And how many are likely to be coming to other platforms at some point?

I own a 360, and it's easy to see that the console is all about Gears and Halo and MS trying to make as many Sony 3rd party exclusives multi-plat as possible. MS are lacking origina...

Yeah, Co-Op multiplayer would be good.

And I'd love to control a horde of Zombies against human players!! :)

I'm just happy to be getting Dead Rising 2. I loved the first one. It had it's faults, but overall it was just awesome.

Need to go back and play it through (yet) again!

If this rumour is true, then I'm glad Capcom are spreading the fun to all platforms - no one should miss out on a game like this.

I guess Capcom sorted out the legal issue with Mr George A Romero?!

Short answer... No

Longer answer...
-Killzone is not a well known IP.
-The first game was mediocre.
-Sony haven't spent upwards of 30million on marketing (as MS did with Halo 3). It doesn't matter how good a game looks or plays if no one knows about it.
-The number of people I know with a PS3 is quite small but I am the only one even thinking of buying it - when Halo 3 was announced everyone I knew who had a 360 bought it. There really doesn't ...
