No kudos for Kudo! Frustrating interview - the guy can not give a straight answer!!
I'm on the fence about Kinect and Move. And what will sway me is two things...
1. Games
2. Working technology
The amount of doubt and negativity that is swirling around the internet about Kinect may be a lot of FUD - but this was Kudo's chance to set the record straight on point #2, and give some indication of what's in development to answ...
Agreed. The Gears games have always looked fantastic... But why are Epic so hung up on putting out such obvious bullshots!?
Good posts Chris and pippow.
I bought my 360 Day 1 in UK. Amazing console, but where Sony have gained momentum, Microsoft have lost it.
MS have succeeded in this gen because they've gained market share - but in terms of games, I have been very disappointed since '08.
That could be a very good point, raztad
"Who's winning the war now?"
Amazon!! :)
I'm just hoping for some unique titles that really take advantage of motion controls. Those types of games are few and far between on Wii.
My preferred consoles in each gen don't quite match yours, but I agree with the sentiment, so well said! +bub.
It's good to be a gamer, not a fanboy.
I'd also argue that one retailer (no matter how big) isn't anything more than a vague gauge of demand.
Most Sony products have a long tail, I don't see the Move being any different. It's just another controller solution that people can buy if and when they want.
I don't see first day sales being crazy high.
It's a pointless complaint. Sure if you've poured blood, sweat and tears in to a creative process, then it's going to be painful to not profit from other people's enjoyment.
But the same could be applied to every single type of goods that are ever sold second hand. If the game industry applied the same thought process to cars, artwork, and other goods - then overnight every used car dealer, every auction house, ebay, craigslist etc would be hit hard.

Younger cast!!! How is that possible. The first one had mainly tweens!! :)
I'll reserve judgement until I get to play this one. Loved the first game!
I think you're right. DLC or another advertising push.
Only other thing I can think of is a MGS branded PSPGo bundle with Peace Walker pre-loaded.
EDIT: Although would love a PSN version as I really struggle with the PSP's control scheme. Made the game too frustrating for me.,
Yeah, that'd be pretty cool.
If you have a decent PC, you might want to check out Guild Wars 2 when it finally drops. Could answer all your wishes for multiplayer, free-to-play RPG.
The problem is that so many of the hack journalists around are either noobs with an attitude that they have to diss any modern game because they've played a few emulator versions of classic games and want to sound edgy, controversial and cool.
Or they are jaded, cynical hacks living in a bygone era of gaming and looking at it through rose tinted glasses.
I saw plenty of reviews of Dragon Quest 9 complain that it was a generic JRPG. Well not everyone has ...
You mean remove features they never announced in the first place? Oh yeah! /s
Doesn't sound like it from the article, which is odd. I assumed it had similar function to the Nunchuk or SIXAXIS.
Yup, sounds about right from the article.
But I do agree that that having an analogue on the main Move controller wouldn't be that great
You don't get it Kirby.
1. People will buy a console based on one game. How many times have you heard someone say 'I'm only buying a PS3 for GT5', and so on. Sure they'll probably buy other games - but their perception is that their console of choice gives them the best value, even if others think it's crazy.
2. You're just pushing your own definition of value. 20 hours on KZ2 vs 10 hours on Halo 3 can be measured in terms of val...
The voice just didn't seem to fit.
@Doc Sony.
Of course value is subjective. You can't force an opinion on to someone; and there are many different ways to calculate value.
Three examples...
1. If someone loves Halo then the price of a 360 could be higher than a PS3 and that person would still perceive the 360 as better value.
2. If a person plays their Xbox for 20 hours a week, vs someone who plays their PS3 10 hours per week, if you average out cost per...
Yeah, but MS are the only company with a Research Dept capable of solving "super complicated" problems.
Shame they didn't have the Research Dept available to fix the "Mega-complicated" problem of RRoD for years, or the Research Dept that could fix "uber-complicated" problems associated with making Kinect work properly
