Well, I'm not interested in GTA V so I don't know how well would it work on my PC. ACU is very poorly optimized game and Far Cry 4 is running 50fps on average with the latest patch and drivers (40-70fps with Vsync off) @ULTRA/1080p.

Given that I have a single monitor and not going crazy with AA, everything I play runs very smooth.

But that wasn't the point of my comment. My point is that you can get a good deal if you do your research and have pat...

I myself have been buying used hardware and saving A LOT in the last few years. For example, my last 3 graphics cards were all used, but I always buy from enthusiasts who often change hardware (like on the yearly basis). So about 9 months ago I managed to score an R9 280x for roughly 150$ and this thing can run pretty much anything at 1080p at the highest possible detail @60FPS (Crysis 3 being the only game to give me frame rate drops bellow 30, @1080p ULTRA settings). Thing is, you have to b...

I agree with you there - I was one of those people. I'm a PC gamer all the way, but I had a chance to play Driveclub on my friend's PS4 and, when it comes to graphics, DC looks better. Nothing drastic, but some details simply look more realistic in DC than Project CARS.

This is slowly turning into a "Super Mortal Smash Brothers Kombat".

I'm perfectly aware that I'm a minority on this, but as a long time MK fan (since the very first part), it seems that MK franchise has become stale and it's slowly turning into a one big mess. IMO, once you get over a "shock value" induced by extreme violence, blood and gore, you get an average fighting game.

Very similar to mine (although I was/is mainly PC gamer I did own many consoles).

Master System
Mega Drive
Saturn
PS1
Dreamcast
Xbox
Xbox 360

I'm yet to buy a next-gen system as I kind of lost interest in gaming in the last few years...

My favorite years of gaming were mid-90's. I played the HECK out of my PC and Amiga (upgraded from Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC 464) :)

As I said - TLOU is an excellent game, with great story and atmosphere, and I'm not trying to deny that. I guess my point is that calling it "the best game ever" is really stretching it.

The best thing in TLOU is the story and while it is very good, it is nowhere near as layered or complex as a story in games such as Deus Ex (for example). Horror elements and presentation are something that Silent Hill (or even Resident Evil) has already done before.

Well, maybe that's the problem - games these days are rehashing old ideas with prettier technology.

Now, in my opinion, some of the best games are the likes of Doom, Deus Ex (the first one), Silent Hill (first 2 or 3), Tomb Raider, Thief (first two)... Here you go, just to name a few. Now THESE are the games that did something new (Doom - pioneering quality FPS; Deus Ex - narrative, multiple choice; Silent Hill - psychological survival horror; Tomb Raider - pioneering TP...

IMO, no. TLOU is an excelent game, but it really didn't bring anything new to the table. It's certainly a masterpiece in it's own right, but I think there are many more games that did many things right and did it first.

Westwood Studios no longer exist - it was shut down 11 years ago. Did you even read the article?

And I spent days playing as female characters in games such as "Mirror's Edge","Still Life", "Memento Mori", "The Longest Journey" series,....

Now, where's my cookie?!? :)

I love Tex Murphy series! Been waiting for this one since 1998! I played the demo and I can say that the game stayed true to its roots. It's like playing a mid-90's interactive movie with modernized graphics and UI. Really good and interesting first-person adventure game, with some nice puzzles and interesting story.

Almost the same like me, bro - for me, Deus Ex 1 tops the list of my all time favorites, followed by Shenmue, Mass Effect 2 and some other DOS games (Crusader: No Remorse and No Regret, Day Of The Tentacle...). :)

Definitely one of the best games I've played in the last couple of years. The storyline and atmosphere is so engrossing. You can FEEL the 90's as you go around the house recognizing details and founding clues to what has happened to....well, I would spoil the whole think if I say anything else. :)

More bad news for Microsoft... With all the news, it looks like that, in terms of public image, they're taking one step forward, then two back.

Now, this is coming from a long time Xbox fan:

I was always more interested in Xbox and Sega Consoles than PlayStation. With last generation, it was the same - I opted for X360 rather than PS3. But coming generation, I'm all about PS4, there's no denying about that. The price is lower, more powerful hardw...

Same here - at first I did not like the "fairy tale" atmosphere and characters, but as the story progressed, I realized how mature and serious the game really is. I can't wait for the next episode as this one was a magnificent short experience.

IMO, Amnesia - The Dark Descent is the scariest survival horror game ever created along with Penumbra series. Dead Space and similar games look like Pocahontas comparing to Amnesia. :)
