Is that a prediction or a leak? I was really looking forward to the potential of an SP Spidey game but I'll take anything I can get, as long as it is a solid quality effort. Spider-Man needs his own Arkham Asylum level game. Others have come close, but they don't feel as much like a love letter to the fans, crammed with Easter eggs & interesting character designs.
I think SP would be a perfect fit, but as long as they've got some quality planned for Spidey &...
Also one of my favorite franchises, and I'm glad to see it continue but I have to admit that this was the poorest attempt at celebrating the history of the series, walling off a huge portion of its fanbase from playing the game. What once would've been cause for celebration is now cause for complaints. On top of that, if they don't have something very special in store for the Ps4 version of RotTR, we may be seeing the franchise retire completely, or be forced to reboot again. Lost...
I mean this particular level doesn't look mindblowing or anything but it still looks mighty fun.
I think the platforming levels are absolutely essential for a game like this, they help to give the game some cohesion (hopefully this change allowed for a light narrative of sorts) & it also gives players some quality practice before the boss battles.
Hopefully it allows for some more of that gorgeous art as well...
Same here, the platforming & traditional levels takes the game from a potential great start to a potential great game. The bosses all looked really cool, but I need me some levels as a build up to those bosses.
Easily one of the most interesting games hitting XBO...really hope we see a Rayman sequel announced this year so I can get some quality platforming in seeing as how I don't have an XBO or PC...
Haha yeah that's what I has thinking...so she has a modicum of experience with the franchise that she's involved in? I would expect as much, it's called "research"....not bagging on her, but the media for trying to make a headline of common sense stuff.
So when's the timed exclusive announcement? Is the film only going to be played in Cinemark theaters for 6 months before going wide?
I think they cut off part of the quote...it should read "what it looks like to play the Xbox One game...on PC"
That's the beauty of UWP, now they never have to show actual XBO gameplay for any future titles. I have a feeling we will be seeing all of these games on PC, whether or not MS specifies.
I agree though, actual gameplay & demos is key. I'm kinda sick of cg trailers, especially for a new announcement. Recore sounds all kinds o...
You obviously don't understand what the term "smoke and mirrors" mean. Smoke & mirrors are meant to obfuscate the truth....Fable Legends ended up being a prime example, as it was canceled. Xbox DVR is also one, also cancelled.
All of those games at Sony's E3 are all actually happening. Sony didn't claim them to be 2015 titles, so they didn't lie about anything there.
You MS fans are moving goalposts again. E3 has literally ne...
Exactly...someone who gets it.
"After careful consideration, Fable Legends is cancelled..."
"After careful consideration, you don't need to buy an Xbox to play Quantum Break..."
"After careful consideration, Kinect isn't mandatory for the XBO to function..."
It's not about whether or not the shifted focus is the right path, it's about not making promises you don't intend to deliver on. Pe...
You sound like a jealous ex-boyfriend...you should just be happy that Remedy found someone new that can treat them right.
The writing has been on the wall. Everytime I suggested that it seemed like Remedy would jump ship from MS, I was downvoted into oblivion & told that it would never happen....that Remedy & MS "have a great working relationship". Yet here we are. Looking forward to whatever Remedy moves on to, hopefully they ditch the live action busines...
God that may be the densest post I've ever read.
You do realize that the X-Men were created by Stan Lee as an allegory about the civil rights movement of the 60s right?
Either way, you are somehow claiming that the people who actually created those characters in the first place are somehow unfit to take their film rights back, even though they've been putting out their books for decades? What about the Fox run of the films? You also realize that B...
Probably true. It's just a shame though because all Rocksteady really did was understand the character & get the right talent to pair with talented devs. It ain't really rocket science but for whatever reason license holders haven't cracked that code, they still throw the best licenses to the most unproven devs for quick cash grabs, or they just go the mobile route & print money off of gullible folks with time to kill & money burning a hole in their pocket.

Ok Fro, if this year is all that matters, how is Sony behind in games? The PS4 has been hands down the most supported console with exclusives this year so far...no argument to be made there. Whatever Sony is doing seems to be working because the extra time that games like Uc4 & R&C received helped to make them huge critical gamer successes.
Sony gives their devs time to create the best experiences possible. I'd personally rather wait for quality as opposed to h...
If we've learned anything from this gen, we should realize that name recognition && cache has next to zero bearing on quality in most instances.
Games like Halo may be blockbuster franchises for hype to build on, but then a game like Until Dawn or Bloodborne can come out of nowhere & really compel gamers.
I think the problem isn't that Sony doesn't have much coming, the problem is that the mainstream media & console warriors ...
@moldy
"microsoft needs to invest into creating more in house studios to compete with sony."
Totally agreed...I'm not sure why but it seems a lot of the MS fans don't care for the idea of first party studios. They seem to have no problem w/ third party devs creating first party games for MS & I just can't wrap my head around that. Brands & Boxes need identities, and they get that from their exclusive stable among other things...
I understand your annoyed feeling for sure...the good thing now though is that the frequency of games are starting to catch up & like you pointed out, as games we are looking forward to are delayed, other games we were previously looking forward to are finally ready to release. Basically just shifts everything I guess. Either way I'm sure there will be plenty to play.
"We already know way too much"
I dunno, I think we know most of MS' E3 because they are sticking with that "only show games releasing this year" mantra, which means not much in the way of new game reveals...Sony's E3 on the other hand is a big mystery. We've seen the stray rumors in the months prior, but we haven't seen them reiterated now in the week prior yet so they are still a big mystery. For MS we know about Dead Rising 4 & Age ...
@uptown
Yeah I agree...it sounds amazing on paper & I've been dying to see it in action, but I think it would be in its best interests to delay. First off there's the obvious idea that they penned out a Spring release date in the first place so they obviously believe it would be advantageous to release in that time frame for maximum sales potential. Secondly, there is an issue with Inafune's involvement, I'd assume when Mighty No. 9 fell off the rails, t...
You completely left out Horizon, the game that took home dozens of Game of Show & Best New IP awards...as far as Xbox, yeah they showed off 2015 games, one collection of old games, one timed exclusive, one racing game & one huge franchise title that ended up with the most lackluster campaign in the entire series...as far as hints of the future, you are right there, those hints were nearly non existent. Still haven't seen any gameplay of Recore a few months past when it was initial...
Well "huge" is obviously relative in this instance, this is coming from ThisGenGaming after all...sure, you could do 4 player co op I guess, but RDR was all about posses & clans that were larger than that, so I'm not sure why they would effectively downgrade their own game for a new gen remake. Aside from that, this says that the game is fully funded by MS, so it would literally have to be a full scale remake over an actual remaster, the latter of which being far more likely...
I think last year catered to the worldwide audience with those announcements, but the prospects of Dead Don't Ride, GoW4 & Spidey could be pretty huge for western audiences. Honestly I've never been big into FF games so this year has even more potential for my personal tastes...there's gonna be some great stuff on offer for sure even if it doesn't reach the hype levels of last year for everyone.
