Just watched the trailer again & I saw one of Mr. Negative's goons being pulled from that car. That's some confirmation that this game will be not only giving us proper canon Spidey characters, but that we won't be getting only the same typical ones we see every game. I bet Mr. Negative is one of the main villains in this game & that works perfectly w/ the theme of including Peter Parker along w/ Spidey. Negative's civilian persona Martin Li the philanthropist will cre...

If Neo is announced like Scorpio, as a huge Sony only fan, I can absolutely say I would not be stoked in the slightest.

I mean just think about it for a second, how does a shiny new hardware announcement w/ no games running on it & no price trump actual amazing software announcements? Without software announcements, that hardware is an over priced Apple TV. The idea of Scorpio is cool, but there is absolutely nothing there right now. Sony should be smart enough to show ...

Fair enough but I don't see how a hard ware announcement could ever trump games themselves. The only reason hardware announcements are exciting in the first place is because in the past they've always shown the result of the beefier box in amazing gameplay. There was none of that for Xbox's hardware announcements, so they are as impactful to me as a summer breeze.

Tastes may vary, but even if there were no other interesting game reveals at...

What don't you understand about that?

He's never been into God of War but the new game is different. Ain't exactly an unprecedented opinion. Lot of gamers who weren't into the original games think the new one is appealing.

I'm right there with you, everything I've read about the game sounds amazing. It was just a big bummer that they didn't actually show the game being played on stage. All we got was around a minute of gameplay for a game that is right around the corner. It could just be a case of poor planning on MS' part but it is worrisome that we've seen so little so close to release. The talk behind the game sounds incredible, but the marketing & lac...

As smug as you sound, I assume you have hard data on exactly how much it has cost to develop No Man's Sky? Let's hear it...if you feel so confident calling it a budget title then you must have plain evidence to back that up...

Just because Hello Games is a small team, that doesn't mean their budget is miniscule. Sony is helping to back this game so I'd assume there's been a decent amount spent on advertising alone at this point...

Yeah for now...let's see it play out...Scorpio launches at an extremely high price tag with games that aren't available on the standard XBO, forcing gamers to build a PC, or spend marginally less but still relatively more to stay in the console realm they are comfortable with.

MS wants to "build bridges" with PC, then they want to buy that bridge, burn it down then build their own poorly constructed bridge & require people to use that one.

I think that's kinda the issue though, if everything isn't nailed down, set in stone & fully understood after reveal, your reveal is problematic.

Honestly I'm the most put off by the lack of a single frame of even target gameplay. Why reveal a console & tout it's extreme power without actually showing that off? I don't care to stare at your boxes innards, I want to see what that hardware can achieve.

Seems to me that everyone w...

Funny too that MS is being praised for "honesty" in regards to revealing a system w/ no games or price point, giving as much info as Sony gave before hand w/o deeming it worthy of a full showing yet (as it should be), but no one calls MS out on making box art for DR4 calling it "Xbox Exclusive" when it is confirmed to be fully timed, Steam in 90 days, PS4 in a year. Nothing honest about that, we had to get that info from Capcom.

Here's what will happ...

To be fair, if this game plays anything like the first Watch Dogs, the coolest aesthetics in the universe couldn't save it.

I always assumed the game got a bad rap & was better than most would have you believe but I finally picked it up on the cheap & I'm currently playing through it, and it is easily the most frustrating open world I've ever played.

Checkpoint system is garbage...enemies are overpowered bullet sponges while Aiden is k...

Wasn't aware Sony was responsible for gaming exclusives...seems they are just perfecting it these days.

Would gaming benefit by being a universal medium like film or music? Possibly, but the reality is that gaming has been built around boxes & exclusives since it's very inception. I don't see how Sony will somehow potentially tear the entire medium apart by simply carrying the same baton that every single console has carried since the invention of gaming. ...

Thank you

Thank you for baiting ppl with games like Fable Legends, Phantom Dust & Shangheist, games that will no longer exist after being revealed & demoed at your events. It's good to get a glimpse of some stuff that will disappear entirely, if I'm making a purchase of an Xbox in 2013 based off games confirmed to be coming out soon, I appreciate my purchase being validated by losing those games entirely. If I'm excited for games coming out in 2017 or 2...

Thanks for the correction, I had realized that too looking through this thread after I had posted it. In that instance the issue was obviously with MS, not TGG. My apologies to that site, in this particular instance they were just reporting the actual news. I honestly thought there was no way that MS could've officially released misleading ad assets like that, but here we are I suppose.

I wonder how MS can pull this kind of thing & ju...

Haven't they confirmed that the RE demo will not be indicative of the final play style? That's the same line that was used for Silent Hills as well, and I think these demos are meant as tone pieces. It could be argued that the tone piece is more "Resident Evil" than at least 2/3 of RE6. I'm willing to give them the benefit of a doubt, Capcom knows they need to do something special to get the series back on track & I believe they are capable of doing exactly that. <...

That study is as conclusive and revealing of the larger picture as Metacritic, which shows that it takes a bit longer to create better games. MS is pushing mediocrity out the door sporadically, Sony is consistently delivering high quality experiences.

@Rookie

Halo was announced at the XBO reveal event. Obviously not 2014

Gears was announced as its IP was acquired in Early 2014. The E3 prior MS had The Coalition show Shangheist, a game that was presented as such during the show, only to be walked back to only being a "tech demo". Add that to the pile of canceled MS titles.

That leaves remasters, indies & an annualized racing title. Not exactly labor intensive, and annual...

Great work Genuine, don't sweat, I'll take it from here

"The VR portion was underwelming to say the least with not a single exciting AAA title that is a system seller"

Resident Evil 7 fully VR compatible, Final Fantasy, Batman Arkham VR, Star Wars X-Wing VR. Yeah, not technically a 'single' exciting AAA because there is 4 of the biggest franchises in gaming represented.

"A Neo announcement and showing off ...

First off, how you would know how much a deal like this actually costs MS? It is very likely that for the price of 1 year timed exclusivity on a well know proven franchise from a third party, MS could've funded their own first party exclusive from the ground up. At the very least, the combined funds spend for bragging rights on RotTR & DR4 could've created an actual exclusive first party new ip. Either way, I find it funny that a gamer is praising business deals that do nothing fo...

Don't forget Bioshock, that one didn't hit PS3 for at least a year or two.

Seems like MS believes that the illusion of exclusivity is just as important as the actual kind. It's the quick fix vs. The long game, which is what bit them by the end of the last console gen & set them up for second place during this one. They pushed the 360 out the door without wi fi without Hdmi & without an hd media solution. They rushed the gun & pushed tons of boxes th...

Yeah, he has no one to hide behind now either, before people considered that Mattrick was the one responsible for every negative thing at Xbox, and yet the negative stuff is still happening 3 years after Mattrick took off.

Spencer is just a flat out liar really. He is intelligent enough to word things in such a way that he is silently keeping the door open for something while simultaneously trying to fool consumers into believing it is entirely closed. The dude is the maste...
