They actually didn't even say that. It's crazy how so many journalists are misinformed when the quotes are easy to find. They said they would hit 10 million units "shortly"…that term is relative so they may not even hit 10 mil until after the holidaze…either way it most definitely means they haven't hit 10 mil yet.

@lelo

Let's see the facts to back that statement that Sony does exactly what Microsoft did in this situation. Where they were lacking in first party studios & games, and instead of creating more for the industry, they just threw money at a developer to exclude other gamers from continuing a journey they already started on the platform of their choice?

It's like Phil Spencer's reasoning of "wanting an Uncharted type game", when Sony ...

Are they possibly hinting at an Xbox One exclusivity there? I sure hope not, timed or otherwise…I was a big fan of the second game, and as cool as Mad Max could turn out, I'd personally rather have the next Just Cause installment. I'm kinda tired already of hearing about Microsoft stealing franchises from the masses instead of creating their own, if this one is added to that newly forming pile, it'll be pretty telling that those practices will remain their modus operandi moving fo...

Halo sells around 10 million to an install base of 80, that's around 1 in 8 sales…IF Xbox sees a huge sales boost from now until release, assume there's 20 million consoles in homes (which would be a very big leap). Maybe Halo sells 5 million, also a skewed estimate in MS' favor considering that that would have an attach rate to consoles over double of what all the prior Halo titles had, which doesn't account for the slip in sales that Halo 4 took.

The PS4 co...

I'm predicting a lot of Bullshot content for Rise of the Tomb Raider…this is a game meant to sell the Xbox One to people who haven't taken the plunge yet, but if they expressly use it to go up against Uncharted 4 they need to make Rise look better or at least comparable to UC4, and that simply can't be done. Rise will be a cross gen game whereas UC4 will be exclusively next gen, UC4 will simply look & play MUCH better than Rise, that much is a given. Also, story wise there'...

When did it receive new games? Which titles did they add? I assumed that this would be a ps+/live gold situation where the titles would switch out, and new additions would mean removing older games

You would to access multiplayer though, something that is the main driving & selling force behind every single one of these titles aside from maybe Peggle.

I really don't understand why it is so hard for people to wrap their heads around this whole situation.

1) Sony didn't reject EA Access because it was a threat to PS Now, PS Now is a streaming service, EA Access is a PS+/Live Gold analogue w/ titles added & removed on a timed basis.

2) Sony also didn't reject EA Access because it was a threat to PS+, because you would still HAVE to have PS+ in order to even use EA Access, even if you could acc...

I'd say this one is a sure bet….those initial Game Informer videos had a pretty obvious easter egg pointing to his inclusion when they panned over a plain white table w/ nothing on it other than a Batman trade w/ Man Bat on the cover. The camera lingered over the book for just long enough to really show what it was, so it seems to me that it was showing some of Rocksteady's reference material for the character's involvement in the game.

I've got an old Batman Tiger Electronics handheld, you think the cloud can knock that up to par with a Vita?

It doesn't say that Sunset will be available at Japanese launch, only that it is indeed an upcoming title...the list also features Halo for Xbox One and it seems very doubtful that any Halo title will launch at that date when they have typically dropped in the busier holiday season of November

I was worried for a second there, for some reason I was thinking of Evan Wells, which would've bode much more dire for Naughty Dog. I'm not sure what's going on there and this definitely seems innocuous enough, but losing people like Richmond & Hennig was a major blow….good to great studios are fairly plentiful these days, but amazing studios are few & far between, and they succeed when a serendipitous perfect mixture clicks into place….more often than not, when that mixtu...

To me, the absence of a positive does not make a negative. I bought the game on ps3 and enjoyed every second of it, so I don't feel like Naughty Dog owes every future iteration to me just because I bought in early. It's basically like buying an iPhone 4 & getting mad when the inevitable iPhone 5 drops and you don't get one for free. In the current games climate, Naughty Dog are easily one of the best devs around by far, so if there's any company that deserves a hard earned...

Not sure why anyone would disagree with you there, given the recent trends, there hasn't been a single game released that lives up to the graphical standards set in these early videos on next gen consoles. It's a bad trend that helps to build hype but destroys goodwill when games release looking either slightly worse or VERY noticeably worse....my guess is we won't see full games hitting these targets for years yet, but we sure will get a lot of shiny trailers trying to pull the w...

Where are these sales statistics you are referring to? I've never heard of those stats being released the same day.

Totally agree...not sure why you are getting any disagrees for this because it's common sense...a 5/5 is a perfect score, meaning it should be as close to flawless as games get. I totally agree that Sessler is great and he's easily one of the most well spoken journalists in gaming bar none, but this is kinda backwards to me. Perfect games should be technical achievements as well, bugs & glitches, low framerates and some of the other things that these reviews mention only to quickl...

Totally agreed…one of the best things about the Arkham games is that they have felt like an extension of the animated series. Origins was obviously a mess story wise and while it seems they tried to keep the tone gameplay wise, the story really didn't match up tonally, it felt more like a pastiche of Batman stories from across different mediums and it only gelled in 1 or 2 scenes. Dini outright said he didn't understand why he wasn't contacted to do the story for that game, my gue...

I'd like to see the Hush storyline integrated w/ the Court of Owls storyline maybe even w/ hints of Morrison's Black Glove storyline, it would all mesh together too well. Hush would meet Lincoln March early on, both being recruited by a combination of the Black Glove group & the Court of Owls, use those guys as the main villains, Lincoln as a Talon would make an amazing final battle, a better version of the Deadshot battle from Origins where Batman is fighting his better though w/...

I find it hard to believe that Microsoft have made any kind of real strides in the vr department w/o at least alluding to as much. Sony have been tinkering w/ wearable headsets for years, so vr is the obvious next step, and Sony themselves haven't been totally coy about that fact, so their vr is almost a given. Microsoft on the other hand has been putting all of their money into Kinect, I highly doubt they will be pushing another "game changing peripheral" to rival the Kinect at...

Their "excuse" is actually valid in this instance, especially when you consider that movies are shot at 23 fps. In any other instance, I'd agree with you, but this is not one of those. Of course, now these leaves the window open for Microsoft to claim that every new title that drops on their system is meant to be "cinematic" simply because it couldn't get there. At the end of the day, you don't know anything more than rumors, speculation, and comments on a game...
