Lol at the disagrees. I was merely stating factual evidence. FFXIII on the PS3 has NO install and has SHORT load times, if any.
Considering the fact that the 360 version is a port of the PS3 version, I don't think the 360 version will be any better in terms of technical aspects. Do you actually own a PS3 though?
Er, no. The JP version of FFXIII has short load times and Uncharted 1,2 and other Sony IPs don't have installs and don't have terrible load times. Read up on the internet and do some research before making assumptions!
? Multiplatform owners honestly have no reason to buy the game on the 360 and I believe most of the fanbase is on the PS3. It will sell well on the 360, but nowhere near the success of the PS3 version.
I don't think this is quite the biggest coup in history, the American Revolution is up there after all.
FMV up the wazoo. The PS3 version actually has only 6.8GB of actual game data unfortunately. When you have linear game design, you can get away with that little for an RPG.
There is no install for the PS3 version of the game. Please do research next time!
Also, the last time disk switching was around was ten years ago! Tech has improved since then! Good day!
Falls in line with what was expected. FMV and sound took up the most space on the PS3 version; compress that and you can fit it onto three disks. Still, no reason for a multiplatform owner to get the 360 version.
Lol. Slurpee cups and a slurpee flavor doesn't count as marketing?
Then what are you doing here, reading FFXIII related news, AND posting on said news if you are uninterested in the game at hand?
They also spent months getting content to run on the PS3 only to cut it out later. Great way to manage your time Square!
Wow. That is a bullsh!t reason. With all that cut content, there MUST have been enough time to create a freaking town. Sheesh.
Year and a half was due to the PS2 version being developed. As has been said multiple times, it was canceled for the PS3, thus wasting a year and a half. The article even says this.
Sigh. You are honestly an idiot and I don't know how you got all those extra bubbles. The year and half was due to the development of the PS2 Version of FFXIII. When the PS3 was announced, the PS2 version was scrapped in favor of a new PS3 version. Anyone who has followed the games development knows this. You obviously do not.
Hell, if you actually read the article linked, you'd know this. Instead you come up with bullsh!t reasoning.
Lol. This is a Game DEVELOPER'S Conference. Those sessions look to be talking about tech and development and not game announcements.
There is a reason people like JRPGs. It has to do with the "J". People like the Japanese influence, and it is because of that (and not because of their antiquated gameplay mechanics), that people have remained fans. Take that away and what do you have?
To recoup costs. The DLC did not sell well on the 360, so they hope to make back their money on the PS3 and PC. Shame that will fail though. It has been two years since GTAIV and the marketing steam has run out. Hell, it ran out last year which is why the 360 dlc did not sell as well.
Not every PS3 game upconverts to 1080p and even games that support this don't always do this automatically. The reason for this is that some games don't work well when upconverted to 1080p. This is kind of a problem for some 360 games; for example, RE5 upconverted to 1080p has a TON of screen tear. It isn't game breaking but it was annoying.
But... Looking at your post history you weren't looking for a serious answer.
MS also reserved the right to a refund of some of that fifty million if expectations were not met. I assume this was the case which may have freed Rockstar up towards making the DLC available for the PS3 and PC.
You don't have to. The Liberty City Stories is stand alone.
The reviews of the fvcking Japanese version of the game for fvcks sake. What else do you think has been out since December?
My fvcking god some people are fvcking stupid. The game has been out in Japan on the PS3 since December, plenty of time for reviews to mention this fact. The fact that it is probably only 360 fanboys disagreeing with me means they don't follow such news. Shame really. I would have thought someone interested in the game would follow such news slavishly. I gue...
