This "freemium" concept is no different from a demo. It's just a longer demo. After all, you get to play a little bit of the game with many of the features closed to you, for free to get a taste of the final product.

It has to be under $200. Pricing it above is ludicrous, especially when you consider the fact that the Wii and 360 are $200 and the PS3 is soon to be near $200 as well.
That OoT tech demo was merely a tech demo. It actually hasn't been confirmed to be coming. Also, I do agree that we actually haven't seen any gameplay, Kid Icarus was pure gameplay and gave a good indication of what we could expect from 3DS. Of course, since the 3DS has come to be on the same level as the PSP tech wise, we could also expect similar development times of two to three years for some of the bigger titles.

I like both equally, but I feel that Heavy Rain executed better. Alan Wake's stiff facial expressions killed some of the mood. DLC should fix this though.
This is a Japanese magazine. The 360 has no presence there. Why would they care?
Based on the timing of the magazine, I believe this "news" references the Wada comment made a month ago. The one he quickly refuted over twitter. This possibly went to print before that twitter update.
I am excited about this title. A little stop gap title that is a remake of an excellent game while Kojima works on Zone of the Enders 3 in secret. I hope.
Actually, no. You get the discount to buy a game, it becomes yours, permanently. The rotating free titles are what you lose if you unsubscribe.

The Kinect games looked awful to the core gamer demographic, which is exactly who IGN is catering to so I don't know what they are smoking. Guess you had to be there to appreciate it *cough* free 360 *cough*
The Gears of War 3 and Halo Reach stuff was awesome and should have been the main focus of the presentation. Instead, they were showed first so all the awesomeness of these killer apps are quickly forgotten as you witness the mediocrity of Kinect games. Like that Ubi...
Impossible to be Peace Walker for PS3. Game just came out on the PSP days ago. Would put a hamper on sales.

4 Days remaining would suggest a Tuesday announcement which doesn't coincide with Microsoft's conference. Author should have noted the words "remaining".
It will be a western developed title, hence a western producer so none of those titles fit the bill.
I sick of people bitching about BC. Those people had as much chance as the rest of us to purchase a PS3 that still had BC. It's not like Sony sprung it up as a surprise. They told us in advance and gave us ample time to purchase a console with BC. I did that. Some people feel entitled to it even though they bought a newer and cheaper console.
