They're going to release it in the wild with a "budget" price. Now, that "budget" price is still around $50 USD so I don't think sales will be that great.

Sounds like Nomura counteracting some of the negative Japanese fanbase reaction to FFXIII on the 360. Some of those Japanese fan tweets are hilarious and rival that of US fanboys. That being said, Nomura obviously wants to keep Versus a PS3 exclusive but he realizes that if Square-Enix wants to make it multiplatform it will become multiplatform. I'm just wondering if they are going decide now, when we are still well over two years away from the game's release.

Square Enix seems to want to squeeze every last drop it can from Final Fantasy XIII. So it is repackaging the US version for Japan. This isn't going to make a lot of profit, but in Square Enix's eyes, some profit is better than no profit.

Because it is far easier and cheaper to go out and buy a new PS2 than to jailbreak it. That is fact. You want to play PS2 games? Buy a PS2 for cheap. Software emulation only upscales which your TV does anyway.

Lol. So you can pirate games huh? Honestly. You want homebrew. Go to your fucking PC. Tons of free, homebrew games there. You want to play with a controller? Connect a controller to your PC. Likewise with a TV. Homebrew on home consoles is a bullshit excuse for wanting the ability to pirate games.

I'm sorry but some of these comments are idiotic. I want to play PS2 games so I will buy a USB device that costs more than a fucking PS2? Bullshit. You just want to pirate PS3 games.

PS2 backwards compatibility removal came with the added benefit of a fucking price drop. I paid for a launch 60 GB and got what I paid for. Others did not and got what THEY PAID FOR.

More choices such as not paying for software? Right? Homebrew is bullshit. People claim they want "homebrew" but in reality the majority want free games. Hell, getting otherOS back this way takes you off the internet anyway as Sony can detect the hack, which is how you could have kept OtherOS in a legit manner in the first place!

Didn't I just tell you this is not representative of the PS3 community. Just as a 360 fanboy like you isn't representative of the overall 360 community. People who frequent sites like n4g are a special type of gamer. The one to ten percent of people who live and breathe games. Of the one to ten percent is a group of diehard console fanboys. Hell, most PS3 owners would be pleasantly surprised that ME2 is coming to their console while most 360 owners would probably not even care that it...

Of course. Because a SMALL SAMPLE SIZE of a few diehard PS3 fanboys must mean ALL PS3 owners are like that? Sigh. And for someone complaining about "ridiculous console wars", you do your best to take part in them!

Er... No. You are just as idiotic as the PS3 fanboys you decry. Bioware does in fact have a PS3 dev team. Also, the Orange Box port was three years ago. EA has done such a better job with PS3 ports since then. Also, the game is running on UE3, a multiplatform engine to begin with. Sounds like damage control from another fanboy.

While it is true ME2 launched first for the 360, the announcement of ME2 means that ME3 will launch simultaneously across all three platforms at the same time. My guess for the timed exclusive was due to an existing contract with MS at the time of Bioware's purchase by MS.

Easy way to fix this. Playable "Memory Reconstruction". Take choice segments from Mass Effect 1 and make them playable. Easy. Also add some dialogue options so that the player sets the choices for things like Werner. Requires more work, but game isn't coming out until 2011 anyway. Unless Bioware are lazy fcks.

I mean, there is good reason to be a disappointed, but people should just leave it. It is a terrible port that has performance issues in spite of sacrificed visual fidelity. However, bitching about it will do nothing to fix it.

That's a laugh. These console versions are terrible and not optimized at all. The 360 version has trouble maintaining a stable framerate and that is considered the "easy port". No wonder they removed the grass from the PS3 version. I'm surprised they didn't remove the grass from the 360 version to improve the framerate (I have to assume they did but did not get an appreciable increase in framerate). So, in a bid to trick consumers, 2K gives free dlc to the PS3 to convinc...

Well, to be honest, I think that they are having technical issues with both versions only that the PC version CAN ship with technical issues as they can be patched out later. The PS3 version needs to be certified by Sony, so they don't have that leeway. However, if they decide to charge $60 for this on consoles and not include a couple of months free, then they are asking for abysmal sales.

You wanted BC, buy the 60GB. I did. If you were too cheap to do that, tough shit. You knew you were getting a console without BC. I hate this bitching.

5731d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

How are they trying to screw you? You bought a console that lacked BC, knowing full well you could have gotten a different model with BC. You HAD THE CHOICE.

5731d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why? Those people paid less than the people who bought a console with BC. They knew what they were getting and had a chance to get BC.
