NHL '96 is still my favorite. EA at its best.
What were the graphics promises that Nintendo failed to deliver on?
Ya, TruthBeTold, it's a leleupi!

Wow, I've heard this exact same FUD a million times. If you think "casual" gaming is so detrimental to "hardcore" gaming, then you might be a hyprocrite if you own any Guitar Hero game.
I was eagerly anticipating this feature in the game after seeing the video of this gentleman showcasing the possibilities of the technology. Agreed tho, it'll come eventually.
I'm very interested in this actually. It seems Sega is trying pretty hard to resurrect their mascot. Bring it =)
Ppl tore into Metroid Prime 3 for not having multiplayer even though its gameplay (and that of its predecessors) is very much single-player oriented.
Even since the dawn of MP gaming, most of the games we consider to be classics are either SP games or MP games w/ a great SP component.
It has apparently become cliché to ignore improvements in Nintendo games for the sake of calling them rehashes.
If this weren't a Nintendo game, ppl would be all over the fact that it now has robust online play, bikes, stunts, motion-control, etc. But instead it's simply, "Wait, Mario's in the game? Rehash!"
lol someone, somewhere, some time, HAD to have made a spitball game.
LMAO, funny "sport" to make a game after.
hotcakes = pancakes
Agreed, they should at least keep adding updates until the game is available in all regions.
Ya I'd be up for that too. Maybe the next Viewtiful Joe title will be WiiWare?
I have an issue w/ ppl claiming certain games are GOTY contenders even if they haven't been released yet. It's as if gameplay (which can only accurately be assessed by actually playing) has lost its importance.
IMHO
Only kids play the DS so this ad campaign will fail.
/end sarcasm
It was actually a direct response to Xiru's post =)
The PS1 and PS2 didn't ruin the market w/ their extensive line of horrible games, and yet all of a sudden the Wii and DS are ruining the market because, let me guess, they're Nintendo products?
Let's face it, the only way many of these self-proclaimed "hardcore" gamers are going to see Nintendo in a positive light is if Nintendo does away w/ its "games are for everyone" mentality and becomes more like Sony/MS.
Brawl?
Let's hope that they didn't scrap a lot of their work over the years after opting to use this new engine just a few months ago. Makes me wonder about the budgeting situation for this project...
I think what he's really trying to say is that this game has to be good in order to sell well on the Wii because Wii owners aren't as obsessed w/ the FPS genre, so mediocre FPSs won't sell nearly as well as they have on other platforms.
Right?
=)
