Good point, it's not a Wii-unique phenomenon as much as it is a phenomenon surrounding things w/ mass appeal. I tend to lose sight of the big picture while on N4G =)
Does anyone else find it funny that many of the ppl who dislike the Wii speak of its success as if consumers as a whole are morons? I don't see that same condescension when it comes to other consumer goods...
Wow, you're such a big boy now.
Pricepoint and mass appeal I think are two reasons that trump all of the reasons listed in the article as to why the Wii will see continued success.
That has gotta be the funniest synopsis for a game I've ever heard LMAO
Nintendo is not the only one releasing games on WiiWare, and it's not like there won't be more games coming in the future.
Maybe the disagreers finally came to the realization that a game that looks good isn't necessarily fun?
Mario Kart is rarely not fun in my opinion tho.
ROFL aw come on sidar, it can be pretty funny at times.
Still not feelin your new avatar btw ;-)
The Wii is not about looks. It's about gameplay.
=)
Seeing as how the Wii Fit balance board has more sensors/hardware in it than the Les Paul that comes w/ GH3 (which is also $90), I'd say this is a pretty good deal.
How about neither or both?
A lot of gamers on this site will not like Wii Fit, and many out-of-shape individuals are out of shape because they aren't interested in getting fit.
On the other hand, there will inevitably have out-of-shape gamers who will see this as a way to finally start thinking seriously about getting in shape.
Wii Fit doesn't really appeal to me personally at the moment, but if it manages to help at least one individual improve his/her ...
I like how there's zero indication that those screens are even from a Sonic game lol
3D Sonic games have been poor compared to their 2D counterparts, but it'll be nice to be pleasantly surprised.
I theorize that the system update in conjunction w/ the Wii Shop Channel update have something to do w/ WiiWare.
"The Wii has sold well but third party games overall are garbage and even the good ones aren't selling in huge numbers."
Replace "Wii" with "PS2" and you have an equally factual account of the PS3's predecessor, which many consider to be the greatest console of all time.
The PS2 software library had an enormous amount of low-quality 3rd-party titles among a few high-quality ones. Some good quality 3rd-party titles such as Okami sold dis...
Dude, I never knew anyone who used Balrog =)
Disaster: Day of Crisis is a start, I suppose. Quite frankly tho, I'd love to see a new Mario Paint and Pilotwings on the Wii.
Very well-done for the PSP, especially considering that none of the top 10 software titles are PSP titles.
The big question for me is: What kind of game is "Shugo Chara!Three Eggs and the Joker in Love!"?!?!
Positive myth-breaking Wii news such as this never attracts a lot of comments.
I'm amazed at how well Carnival Games has done. Then again, I shouldn't be because the purchasing behavior of the Wii demographic is very hard to predict.
LMAO, nice Russian reversal. I'd give you bubbles if I could.
Mario Paint belongs on the Wii.
