Apparently the phantom disagreer really likes the Wii wheel lol
ROFL noooooooo!!!!
=D
I don't care for the wheel too much but it works FAR better than I thought it would and is slowly growing on me. This game is extremely fun and I have no problem recommending this Mario Kart installment to anyone. Double Dash is actually my least favorite.
I think a particular console's game library ultimately decides whether it is predominantly "casual" or not, but Nintendo has indeed been addressing a particular audience this console generation more than it (or any other game company) has done in the past.
Congratulations on sounding like a fanboy and troll at the same time.
Innovative gameplay enhancements FTW
Peripherals don't suit portable consoles well IMHO, though the GH peripheral for the DS seems well-designed for its purpose. I don't really think it'll sell a lot either but we'll just have to wait and see.
Glad to see the game is still in development. Nintendo has historically been pretty hush-hush about its games during their development cycle compared to other companies nowadays who like to create huge hype trains for theirs.
lol @ the comments in the Open Zone. Ppl hate on Nintendo for not having new IP and when new IP comes about, it's met w/ pessimism just cuz it's on a Nintendo system. Amazing.
You should've been around to see the ridiculous comments / excuses / conniptions from some PS3-only owners when Madden '08 on the Wii ended up scoring higher than the PS3 version. Most PS3-only ppl were mature about it but some acted like they had their manhood stripped from them and it was the end of the world lol
lol Bro Nick, no wonder the hate is so immense. Inability and/or lack of motivation to adapt.
Why does it seem like PS3 and 360 owners are the only ones who wave the Wii remote around in an odd fashion?
Maybe you got disagrees for the ridiculous and excessive worship of the PS3/360 to the point of being in direct violation of the 2nd commandment.
Interesting. I don't remember MK64 having online play, worldwide leader boards, bikes, tricks, GCN tracks, Wii Wheel support, 480p, etc.
Obviously I'm being facetious, but it's become so cliché to ignore the new features in Nintendo games for the sake of calling them rehashes but at the same time get hyped over the next FPS, the 13th Final Fantasy, the 134618th Street Fighter, the 9th GTA, etc.
Double standards = bad
So graphics are the differentiating factor between games? Everyone likes to ignore new features of Nintendo games for the sake of calling them rehashes. Of course, this is what happens when ppl who aren't motivated to find out what's new in a certain game are allowed to comment about how different its feature set is from the previous game in the series.
MK: Wii has different gameplay from MK: DD, has online play, bikes, tricks, etc, and yet ppl proclaim it's the same game. Iro...
Check how many 3rd-party Wii games have sold over a million copies before spouting myths that motivate ppl to conduct research on your claim and find that the PS3 has less, which of course you will either refute or attempt to devalue as an indicative statistic just so you can continue to justify your trolling efforts in the Wii news section through your deification of your PS3.
Do your research.
Proof please.
lol just curious miganda, how old are you?
I would hesitate to overestimate GTAIV's ability to significantly affect the relative attach rates to the Wii when Mario Kart Wii and WiiFit still have not been released yet.
Taking WiiSports out of the equation still leaves the Wii's attach rate comparable to the PS3's.
It sounds like you're desperately pining for the Wii's attach rate to be the lowest as if these stats matter.

As I've said before, many ppl who label Nintendo as unoriginal for some reason fail to realize the irony in anxiously awaiting Final Fantasy THIRTEEN, Metal Gear Solid FOUR, Gran Turismo FIVE, Grand Theft Auto FOUR (which, incidentally, is the 9th game in the series), the 36928365th FPS, etc.
