I'm hoping this means Nintendo will release an alternate storage solution some time soon.
Ya but Tony Little's annoying.
Again, I have no interest in WiiFit but I don't go trolling every WiiFit thread. If it manages to get at least one person motivated to lose weight or improve his/her balance, then I will see it as a success and leave it at that.
Nintendo was stringent w/ their quality control until the PS1 and PS2 came around and showed that you can have an enormously successful console if you let pretty much any game regardless of quality be released for the platform.
While trying to frame me as a biased individual out of the blue may fulfill a desire to return some of your credibility that you perceive to have lost from disagreements we have had in the past or to simply get attention, the reality is that you get no special treatment from myself or any of the other mods unless you are violating the N4G rules.
This memristor news reminded me why I chose computer science over computer engineering =)
Thx for the head-up. You seem to be well-versed in both computer science and in computer engineering.
Cost?
Being somewhat of an aquarium fanatic myself, I wanted this game to be good. For a game whose objective seems to be to stare at a virtual aquarium that you yourself built, the graphics are pretty horrendous. For the most part tho, I think this game just suffers from a lack of substance.
Mario Kart's online play is much better than SSBB's IMHO and since playing battle mode online is insanely fun, I've put SSBB on the backburner for now.
When SSBB was delayed from its initial Dec '07 release date to Mar '08, I knew SSBB and Mario Kart would be competing for my playtime.
Ironic that every time you use a d-pad to play your PS3, 360, Dreamcast, 3DO, etc. games, you are reinforcing Nintendo's importance to the industry.
Congrats to Sony for the excellent PSP sales. Games sell consoles ppl, not hardware specs.
Would you still buy it if they looked much better?
I'd very much like Nintendo to release a Wii update w/ the eSOL USB middleware that they've licensed to allow us to connect any USB storage device.
Maybe so, but there's not really any funfactor involved in trying to maintain balance on a bus or subway. Aside from simple exercises, WiiFit also has games to help strengthen a person's core and improve balance. As w/ any game tho, the funfactor of these games is subjective.
Luckily there's a shower in my parents' basement where I've spent the last 30 years living and gaming cuz I'm hardcore like that.
Seriously. I hate the waggle gimmick. Whenever I'm playing the Wii w/ a bunch of ppl, I flail my arms around like an idiot while everyone else beats me using simple wrist flicks and then stares at me weird while I struggle to finish the round. teh Wii sux!!11!!
So despite the fact that it has taken devs a while to transition over to motion controls and utilize them successfully [on the Wii], you're convinced that devs would have had instant success utilizing motion controls on the PS3 in a title released back in 2006 just because it's Sony?
It'd be a much better survey if they also determined what percentage of the ppl surveyed use their membership on a regular basis and what percentage don't. Obviously if you never use your gym membership, you'd be more inclined to get rid of it in favor of WiiFit.
It has definitely been a sanctuary so far. It's as if all the kids have been put to bed lol
I feel like this game will do much better in western territories. Japanese gamers seem to have much different tastes...
