Seems to vary from person to person. I know people like to pile on Driveclub, but in this instance I don't think it's the fault of the game. Watched Jeff from Giantbomb play it and he didn't have any issue with feeling sick. I kind figured this would happen with VR, everyone is different and will react as such.
Japanese people love standing in lines! They see a line to a restaurant, must be good... stands in line for 45 min. But, it always seems to workout. Stand in line for something, in Japan, and odds are you won't be disappointed.
I find the reporting of sales numbers completely normal, the congratulations and the subsequent damage control that follows... a bit ridiculous. I find it ridiculous to actually care who sells more consoles from month to month, unless you're an investor in one of these companies or are, in some way, part of the production/ordering of these machines.
I've read a ton of articles about sales of Toyota's being up, while Honda sales level out and vice versa. I mean.....
Exactly why not just build a PC? Well... Even if the better version of Gears is on PC, that's asking a lot of a console gamer to switch over to PC. Not just because of the upfront cost, which I know will eventually even out, but your asking someone to leave an ecosystem. You'll have to find a whole new pool of friends to play online with, gathering a party/clan, and that's not easy. And believe it or not, I think a large % of console gamers are happy with the way current games loo...

I'll wait for more reviews, but it's good to see a game that was at first being moaned about... "ugh, another Gears" "same old same old" come out and surprise people, at least reviewers so far.
@BakPAin TBH I think a lot of gamers today will overlook gameplay quirks if they are impressed by its presentation/style ... and QB had presentation/style in spades. Your enjoyment of the game all depended on whether or not you liked the gameplay, some thought it was fine and some hated it. All in all, it seemed to be a better than okay game.
Hmm... I wonder if there's some kind of hook or something big at the beginning that they don't want spoiled. I can kinda see why they would do this, retailers break street dates all the time. But then there's the other side of it, where it could be bad. I'm hoping that this game turns out to be great or at least good.

@Death I don't think it's completely irrelevant, but I do think that you can't read into those numbers that much. The numbers are great, but it's gotta be taken into context. The game came out in 2007/2008 it couldn't not have been selling all that much in 2016... any amount of sales would move the % up. Good, as they should. It's a selling point. Even if it is a medium that is, some would say, "dying" having it makes a consumer feel better. It something there, they may never use it but some feel better about a purchase cause it's there.
