Their end goal was to hold that information for a show/press conference... like the one on Sept. 7th. It's to build anticipation, I guess... seems to be working.
it's definitely not a game for everyone, it never holds your hand. If you're looking for a game with heavy narrative, multiplayer encounters, steer clear. This game does not hold your hand, it can be very frustrating for some. There is a narrative, but it's not in your face about it. It's a really hard game to describe, it's basically an adventure game with light survival elements. You can completely ignore the narrative.
I wouldn't go as far to say...
What if the Neo is just the Playstation's version of an "Xbox One S"? Slightly upgraded version of the PS4?
wobble? how and why is your console wobbling? I've pretty much gone completely digital, so no need for me to touch my console... On a side note, I've gone all digital cause my PS4 keeps spitting out my discs. So yea, maybe time for a revision here.
Xbox S is the BEST version of the Xbox consoles... before the Scorpio comes, of course. Best console around, that depends a lot on what games you like, and if you have a 4K tv with HDR. Making a hyperbole blanket statemen...
maybe the one @nitus10 linked doesn't quite work out of the box, but the Razer Core sure does. They released it this year, I believe. This thing must be doing something slightly different, but who know.
If that thing is the size of an iphone 6 or 6+ ... I'll probably be buying my first Nintendo console in 20 years.
Well... of course they're gonna try, what business built to make money isn't gonna try. They made Windows a mandatory thing on PC's. Thanks to their tactics the Windows OS is synonymous with PC's. Growing up I thought a PC was just Windows machine. But, like how someone said above, @uth11 I believe, this isn't the 90's and there are or at least there seems to be viable alternatives.
@The_Infected I totally agree with having a conversation about it. I love a good debate, but how often do these things turn into a yelling match between people who have no intention of hearing counter arguments? Far too often, I think.
console wars, smart phone wars, OS wars... aren't you guys tired of defending these fragile, meek, multi-billion $$$ corporations?
Of course there are better high-end phones out there. Just like there are better versions of these GAP pants I'm wearing. I could go to DIESEL and pay double what I paid for these pants... can I afford them? Yes. But they don't fit me like the GAP ones do. It's actually pretty crazy, but the GAP ones just fit me better. The DIESE...
haven't they already achieved that with Pokemon GO? I know they don't really have anything to do with Pokemon GO, but most people associate the two very, very closely.
There's been a lot put into how "power" is gonna win this or that... but really it's only us, the hardcore, that it matters to... and some hardcore don't even really care about it that much, not enough to make them switch ecosystems. Which ever console catches on with the general public is gonna be the one that takes it. At the start of this generation it was about the "policies" of the consoles that swayed the general public, only later did "power" a...
That's exactly what I hear! I heard the Red Baron story line is pretty great! I'll probably go back to it one of these days.
I picked up The Witcher when it released... never finished it. I could never get into the combat/gameplay, which sucks cause I've heard it was a good experience!
My thoughts exactly, trade it in! But some people like to keep their old consoles, collect them. Which is something I should have done with my Dreamcast, I should have never traded that thin in!
Great move! Let's hope that Sony does this as well. Although you've technically had this option since GameStop has been buying older consoles. I'm pretty sure I sold my PS2 to get a PS3. And I know for a fact that you could trade in your PS3 for a discount on Xbox One, or something like that, even the Microsoft store had a similar promotion. Good news all around, anything that can save me a little dough I'm okay with!
I'm guessing it's quite a few, but not as much as you would think. They can't put all their eggs into one basket. They manufactured X amount with plans to manufacture more "If" demand is good. The consequences for over producing is Disney infinite, those things sold very well, but they produced waaaay more than they should have and in the end didn't meet their projections. Sucks, but that's just business I guess.
How can something be a marketing disaster when it hasn't even been marketed yet? Doesn't make sense, at least wait till something is a disaster before calling it so.
PS3 price and reasoning, a disaster. Xbox One, Don Mattrick vision, a disaster. PS4 Neo, not quite yet.
I'm actually gonna have to disagree with you there. Until recently, Sony hasn't been very good at Marketing. MS had been doing a great job of marketing the Xbox brand, especially the 360!
Anyone remember the creepy Sony baby doll marketing campaign?
Edit: you guys are fools if you think Sony have been doing a great job at marketing. They dropped the ball in the PS3 era and are finally recovering and getting back to their old ways. MS did a amazin...
I love how the fanboys are already making claims at being "more powerful" and being all around "shitty" and continuing this mythical online war all while non of these two new systems are even out with any games to show for it... doesn't make much sense if you ask me, but girls will be girls lol
Here's the thing... no matter what they did it wouldn't have satisfied everyone, here were Sony/MS past approaches:
Sony
Surprise Reveal of the PS4, architecture, concept, demo's - reaction was: that was awesome, how do you not show the console?!?! dumb!
MS
Reveal the Xbox One, concept, new kinect, some specs, and console, sports games - reaction was: WTF did I just watch?
Sony
Rumors of PS4k, don't say anything, ...
