The PS4 Pro can do native 4K rendering, in fact, the PS4 Pro can do 4K60 if it wanted to but at what visual fidelity? That's the real question. Too much emphasis on metacritic... battle of numbers over actually enjoying the game? I understand that the metacritic score of a game is "important" for this "war" that's going on. Its nice when a game gets a good score, a good score has pushed me to buying a game that I wasn't sure about, but that doesn't mean that the game met those expectations.

I've been gaming since I was 7 and the worst thing about videogames is the sh*t fanbase, it's getting increasingly harder to avoid fangirls and d-bags.
Same thing happened to the PS4/X1. I mean I kinda get it, but these consoles are always evolving so unless they'll be updating their store through out the life of the console... why review it? It should be a review in progress, until the end of that consoles generation. I think that's the only way to properly review an ever evolving thing.

The drops in frames, and low framerate, should only ding the games score if it's so bad that it affects gameplay. Luckily it only seems to happen when it's in "docked" mode. If the rest of the game is so good that it over comes those technical issues, then it shouldn't affect the score, but of course it's a matter of opinions. Some ppl take that kind of thing into consideration more than others.

In all honesty... it's the direction everything was heading to, Netflix, Hulu, Prime and so on. The big difference, back then, is that very vocal gamer's weren't A) Ready for it, yet B) Not given enough information. I don't know why this article is calling out Sony, it was the press, it was us, that shot down their original plan. I do agree that Sony needs to step it's "game" up, but you can't say that a company is "nailing" something without facts ...
I'm actually kind of okay with this score, I disagree with it, but it's their opinion. I don't know if these sites understand how "reputations" work. If you have a reputation or being unjustly harsh or being bunch of liars or click bait who*es... ppl catch on and now you have a sh*t rep and no one trust you... but then again, they could just be completely honest and they just hate most games.
Now, what I find more important is how they score their next...
@sirjojo their not, cause when they see native 4K, resolution, they assume everything is in "4K"... rather than what you eluded to, 4K everything, resolution/textures/effects. But i think for most people just seeing "true 4k" next a title is enough, hey don't really care about the details... what thy REALLY want to know, and i think is the honest truth, is my version or system the better/stronger one? sad but true, i think.
