Definitely picking this up for my gaming pc. The xb1 controller I am currently using sucks pretty hard. Will be nice to use a controller I am used to and feels more ergonomically correct for me while gaming on my PC.
The thing is I prefer playing solo. Doesn't matter what methods there is for finding groups when that aspect is not enjoyable for me. I like playing on my own terms, deciding to do whatever I want without worrying about who I am with. And I'm sure I'm not the only player like this.
But weapons are still locked behind raids and other team-only aspects.
Until bungie can figure out a way to include solo players in all aspects of gear and weapons, I'm not falling back into that unless trap of grinding for no reason and being screwed out of all the most fun weapons and gear because I prefer solo play.
Can solo players get the same loot as those doing raids or Trials? I'm assuming no, so therefore I am not going back.
I'll revisit the game when it is more solo friendly.
Stubborn fanboyism, that's the only reason why. These people cling to the glory days of the 360 like it is their religion or something. You can tell them that 2+2=4 all day long but they refuse to listen due to a supreme stubbornness to accept the truth that has been growing since the 360 got dethroned.
I have zero interest in any of the released or to be released Xbox exclusives, plus I can play them on my PC if I want to. I also have no plans for a 4k TV for many years, so the UHD player in the XBS would be completely useless to me (which also means I would pay an extra $100 for a feature I won't get to use).
At the same price, and the Pro being almost 3x's as powerful, it should be a no-brainer choice over the XBS for everybody.
I have a gaming PC with over 7TF, Scorpio would be a terrible buy since all its exclusives are on PC as well. I have both Xbox and PC games covered. However I wouldn't mind having a significantly more powerful PS4 that can play exclusives only found on one platform.

The thing is MS is counting on the extra year in order to bring prices down on the hardware. If they release, let's say, early 2017 the price will easily be around $650-$700 with what they are packing under the hood.
Well, the vast majority of XBS sales were from current XB1 owners, so even though the XB1 trails the ps4 in sales, if nearly every one of them buy another console the numbers will seem impressive. But the amount of unique xb1 players probably bearly went up. If anything the numbers rise from people wanting a cheaper 4k UHD player that could also play games.
Its going to be eye opening to re-buyers in xcamp celebrating over circle-jerk sales increases when the Pro launc...
Doubt it, that's just not how MS works. Sony have usually always been the ones to take a hit financially because they were looking at the bigger picture and knew it would benefit them in the end. MS hasn't done this once with any part of their Xbox franchise that I am aware of.
Whenever I use Spotify on my PS4 I tie in with the app on my phone to remote control the music. Otherwise I would need to suspend my game each time to choose new music (could only pause and skip songs before from the quick menu)
I haven't tried using it since the patch, but it sounds like it has gotten much better. So have certain features been added to the ps4 Spotify app? Such as creating radio stations on a song or artist? What about like/dislike options?
Unless MS wants to lose money on each sale, no way a 6+TF machine with a UHD drive is selling any less than $550 or $600.
The only time Xbox has had a spot at the top was last gen when the 360 had the lead for the first couple of years. Other than that brief moment in time, PlayStation has always topped it.
And one of the biggest reasons the 360 held that spot was because it launched a year before the ps3. And guess what, the Pro launches a year ahead of Scorpio, which only makes it even less likely the Scorpio will have a remote chance of "reclaiming the top spot".
Knowing the EU, there is some regulation on how many games can be on a disk or something lame like that.
As its been said tons of times already... Sony already has a lock on this gen. And while Scorpios specs are going to finally give the XB1 some sort of edge over their competition, no doubt the predictably high price tag ($550-$650) is not going to be moving too many consoles off the shelves aside from the initial burst.
Not to mention the Scorpio will be a year late to the "console upgrade" party.
It seems like a bit much hate from around 1% of the ps4 population (those that actually have 4k TVs and were upset with no UHD drive). No doubt hate is being created out of thin air by salty xb1 players.

Sorry, but only a stubborn Xbox fanboy would choose the xbs over the pro. Same price, yet with the pro you are getting a console that is nearly 3 times as powerful. Not to mention all the true exclusives that can only be played on a ps4. If you have a PC capable of gaming, then the xb1 in all its forms is redundant, and its even more redundant if you own a ps4 as well.
I only just finally upgraded from my 720p Samsung this year to a 1080p (it was a darn good 720p TV). I waited so long because I was waiting for the quality of the 1080p panels to go way up while prices went way down (a mature technology). And in reality the amount of 1080p content had finally reached a point to where it absolutely made sense for me to upgrade, and that I was getting left behind if I didn't.
I'm going to wait out 4k just like I did with 1080p. Som...
